It seems to me that the general opinion of your customers should be this.. If you'd ship the kit with the engine and trans mocked up already then several items would already be resolved.
1). The engine mount would already be fixed. One less complaint from your customers.
2). The transmission mounts would fit. One less complaint.
3). The alternator would be mounted and thus fit correctly with the correct length belt. Or so you say. Maybe one less complaint.
4). You could charge more $$ for this which you'd obviously clearly enjoy for a service that doesn't take much time at all.
