Terrorist attacks in Paris.

That's interesting. The site is not even up to date, failing to mention the current Belgian lockdown. In general, it does acknowledge "Islamist" terrorist activities a couple of times, so somebody in the US knows what's going on!

You guys are seriously advocating that Christians attack Muslims peacefully gathered in Mecca as payback? Really?

You mean like Muslims attack Christians peacefully gathered in Christian churches, in restaurants, in shopping malls and where ever else just for the literal hell of it?

Hmmmmmmmm...I'd never even pondered the idea before...but, now that you mention it...

How about we call a truce on directing vitriol on each other on this web site and save it all up for the useless politicians on both sides of the Atlantic and our main and common enemy known as Islamic State. Once this war is over and the Islamic State has been totally eradicated (AND THAT MIGHT BE A LONG TIME) then we can start on bitching about each other again.

Well, good luck with that David but well said anyway. A divided West is not a Happy Place to be right now I would wager...

Reading on some UK sites, I would say we're equally divided on similar lines as we have the same nonsensical personal approach to not paying tax, seeming to settle instead for the most devious & opaque indirect tax strategies imaginable. How stupid can we get?

Another unfortunately similarity is the bitching and moaning about the democratically elected government with even "direct action" threatened here in the UK to unseat the Government just because they don't like it's hue. As David says, time to settle our differences and present a solid front to these jihadist toe rags - it's really the only way. The enemy is not stupid - they can & will exploit our differences..

There is an unwritten rule in British politics that political capital should not be made out of national crises or tragic events. Let it be so.....

Let us not also forget that my enemy's enemy is my friend...

So you are asking if I favor "Direct Action" against the Islamic general population centers? No not yet.........................But it does beg the question. What would it take to go WW2 style, with modern tech of course, bombing missions on their population centers?

Just like porn.......we'll know it when we see it.......................

I think Turkey just tried to start WW3

No...Turkey just got t-i-r-e-d of Russia's 'big bully' arrogance and did what they figured they needed to do to get the point across. Judging from the fact we haven't HEARD of any further air space violations by Russia, 'looks like the message was received and well noted.

Russia 'ain't' USED TO being confronted militarily these days...

It's worse than that Howard, the "direct action" I was referring to is the strategy of the UK hard left to unseat the legitimate government... It's gone a bit quiet now, but they're still there...waiting. The Enemy Within. The Fifth Column, and before you ask, I'm talking native born British here and if they can get the powerful Unions onside, they'll have a go, believe me.

Do you trust Turkey Larry? I'm not sure I do any more than I trust Russia, but Putin has definitely stolen the West's thunder over Syria. I said a long time ago, how can we morally support opposition to a democratically elected government? Assad was voted in with an overwhelming majority...and we have a bad history of trying to overturn governments because we don't like the flavour. I blame it all on whoever thought up the daft strap line: "Arab Spring" - what a fucking joke. We screwed up in Iraq and we screwed up in Libya at least the US saw sense and refused to get involved there. Let them get the hell on with it I say. Russia and Iran are a powerful alliance and it would be a fool who would bet against them. Certainly your present incumbent seemingly has no clue on what to do and ours is still bleating about sending a couple of planes over Syria months too late anyway. If you really want a Doomsday scenario, think Russia/Iran/Nuclear capability.

I'd concentrate on Iraq, at least their government welcomes our intervention and let the Russians take care of Syria. We've left it far too late to have any major influence there.

Did you know that the Assad dynasty pretty much owes it's very existence to the active "interference" of the fledgling CIA (SOE) following WWII? Those guys have got their hands in every shit pile known to man...
