Transaxle vent/breather

Has anyone ever inverted an automatic transaxle successfully? Health issues mean I need to look at various options including dry sump on automatic trans and hand clutch on a manual gear lever. I have ideas on both but I`m interested whether its been done already?

Great idea-your not the first!..... From what Iv read they did it on the MKIV- two versions, one was a torque converter & 2spd dog engagement trans. No big deal about inverting the auto. I have kept it in the back of my mind with my own transaxle. We ran a two speed Powrglide in a dirt oval stock car, no converter, just a big hydraulic tap to dump the pressure and doctored valve body to shift from 1 to 2.
