Who owns this 40?

The early CAV blue on my car was BMW LeMans Blue #381 w/clearcoat.
I subsequently repainted it to the Lexus color Spectra Blue Mica which is the factory Toyota color 8M6 (PPG 5437) w/clearcoat. The blue shade is very similiar but the 8M6 has a subtle pearl metalflake to it that looks fantastic. If you want to see how it looks, about a zillion Toyotas wear it.
The '72 Torino photo was from a June '08 Hot Rod Magazine story that profiled the quality of factory paints and specifically had the Torino painted 8M6 as one of the feature cars. A good related article is found here:
