Club Stand at NEC Classic

Here are a few pics I took today of the Club stand at the NEC Classic Car Show. The stand was in a different spot than previous years but the location was quite good. As usual the club stand was one of the best club stands at the show and proved as popular as ever with the number of visitors and photographers making it quite hard to get a good shot of the cars. The cars on show were well up to the usual very high standard with three immaculate Southern GTs and Steve Barker's splendid blue MDA Mk2. Well done to Dick Townsend for his organisation of the display. I heard a great many appreciative comments from visitors about the excellent quality of the cars on display while I was on the stand.
Cheers
Mike

Two things.

What engine is that with the red rocker covers?

and...

Is it just me, or does the board in the background of this pic look like it has the old Roaring Forties logo on it? ;)

Troy,
The old Roaring Forties logo is the copy of our old Club logo.
Plus ca change, we have a new logo and the old Roaring Forties is no more.......

Not only did Robert Logan steal the Logo he also stole the name Roaring Forties and even the design for his chassis.

What a great guy!

Dick Townsend, Richard Guest and team, plus those who provided the Southern GTs & MDA, must be applauded for their hard work. Gautier Rossignol, the French coordinator of the classic endurance series attended the club stand to discuss with us, Spa & Le Mans Classic 2012. Gautier was most impressed with the display and the friendly professionalism of the team. Andrew Komosa (Chairman- GT40 Enthusiasts Club).
