I would be more worried of one that has the right gearing. Mine red lines at 3200 RPMs.
Size, weight, and RPM make them not a great fit for an SLC build...
I think I have heard of people using silly putty. It's all the same really. Grease is popular but too thin for my liking. Wax or putty seem to be better options.

I hope to order an SLC within the next year. Color is one tough call. It seems all the choices for stock color listed on the website are not represented here or elsewhere on the net. Is this because no one has ordered a kit in some of the colors yet?
So I assume due to the polishing that the chassis is not coated. What are people using finish wise to keep the aluminum from oxidizing? I would hate for all your work to be ruined by a little exposure...
