Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

Anywhere I can't use a the stepless clamps I use a T-bolt clamp. I'm so tired of cutting myself on a worm clamp.

    Mason’s Build: Superlite SLC

I have no practical experience from trying to hookup a heater core that way, but a few fluid flow classes from college lead me to believe that you will get very little circulation through the core by tapping the 1.5” lines, regardless of what angle you use. The issue is that the 1.5” line dumps...

    Mason’s Build: Superlite SLC

I've never really found any aftermarket connector I was really happy with, at least not a price I was willing to pay. I tend to hit the junkyard and find OEM connectors that use the delphi style pins so that I de-pin them and put in new pins from cheap amazon weatherpack connectors. I have...

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

If you already have hoses, then the cost will be far too high, I didn't realize those were already in the kit. I did not have hoses, and the cost of the EZ Clip system was about the same as a standard system + buying a crimper (so EZ Clip was about $250 more). You can find the stuff...

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

You could also look into the Eaton EZClip AC fittings. I opted to use them because they are so easy to install on the car, which is a huge plus on a mid-engine build...

    S2's Build Thread

I’m going to be the oddball here, I think the angular vents don’t fit the car. My opinion is R2. I’m also glad to see someone else taking the same path as me for body customizations. I recently upgraded to a 23” x 23” x 42” IDEX 3D printer so that I can start printing a custom nose and hood.

SLC race tail wing on or off

I grew up on The Fast and the Furious (oh the shame!!) I love the wing.

    Alans Scratch build

Fixed it for you. I've printed 2 dozen bits and pieces for the interior already. Another good use is prototyping stuff you will make from Aluminum before you spend the time machining it to make sure all of the dimensions and tolerances are correct. I 3D printed brake caliper brackets before I...

    Steve's GT-R Build Thread

Since I grew up in Alabama, I can interpret Georgian. Sauter is how people in the promise land say Solder.

    SLC wanted

The Ultima is very small, you have to look at it up next to something else to realize it.

    Fat Larry's GTR Build

I'm guess you are using an iPhone, it's a common problem. What I do is save the pictures to my laptop, open them with paint and save them to a new file name. This fixes the meta-data and allows them to orient correctly. Only takes a few seconds to open and save as.

    Kurtiss' GT-R

I check eBay daily on the replica and kit section, never saw it. I finally found it, it's listed as a Ford GT if anyone else goes looking.

    Kurtiss' GT-R

Very interesting. I sold off the Infinity kit I had because it was overkill for an 818, but I may reconsider it for my next project if this isn't vaporware and you can actually make your own logic changes.

    Kurtiss' GT-R

I really like the concept of the infinity system, but not being able to make program changes without getting the factory involved is a big turn off to me. Larry check out the Coach system Rufus used. I just put one in my 818 and I’m very happy with it.

New here, few questions about the SLC

My advice is that if you want something custom you should do it as part of the initial build. I took your approach on my first project, get it running and then go back and do upgrades. It took 3x as long as cost twice as much. If you want quick and stock go that route, but if you want...
