    Nose hinge

i remember that Bob. Offered my first born to get a set. Any idea what changes need to be made? Seems like a solid design. Getting tired of lifting the nose off to gain access.

    Registration in Fl.

I’m in GA. I had to use companies that provide insurance based on desired value. I had to provide proof of value via receipts. The SLC is not typically a known commodity by the insurance industry so my standard company went tilt when I asked. Sounds like you already know this. Long story...

Kurt H (hoffkm) SL-C build thread

Kurt On my street tail I have fender liners to cover the entire well. The lower tail below the tranny is a collection point for street sand and street rocks. Since your building your own, you may want to take a look at that future problem.

    Centroid Fuel Sender

FYI 1. Talked to Speedhut today. They no longer carry Centroid due to COST. They had no problems to report with this unit. They did tell me their fuel gauge does dampening so its slow to react to sudden fuel level changes. For me they suggest I do another calibration for full and empty...

    Centroid Fuel Sender

Howard. It never actually occurred to me to create a reserve by programming 2 or 3 gallons as empty....good idea. From Stephan’s responsive above the RCR Centroid accounts for the basic shape of our tanks. Guess I will reprogram my gauge to empty/full based on the 100/0 ohm sensor but use...

    Centroid Fuel Sender

Good question on the 0/90 Speedhut option. I’m truly most concerned with empty versus full. IAW Speedhut the gauge is calibrated for 0 empty and 90 as full if you select the 0/90 option. If the KOSO sensor measures 0 as empty and 100 as full then I would guess it would stay full longer as...

    Centroid Fuel Sender

I was taking a look at Kurts install and saw his fuel probe. He was kind enough to send me a picture of the top. Perhaps his is not a stock probe from RCR, but I noted it shows OHMs of 240/33. After an exhaustive search of my many photos, I found one of my fuel probe. And as Stephen has...

Man that last picture is perfect. It shows the 240/33 ohm setting. While its a long story, I thought I had set the gauge to that during set up. I ran the car out of gas while the gauge was showing 1/2 full. After scratching body parts, I realized I had powered the fuel probe to ignition...

kurt….an observation Not sure how your fender liners are going to be designed, but I note the bus bar above the main coolant lines on the frame. I have a valve in that spot and once the body and fenders are on, its nearly impossible to service that area.

    Ken's SLC build thread

Ken I did the same and I also cut an access panel right behind the front wheel to help with access. I found my hands and arms were a bit to big for that small cup hole and I couldn't maneuver inside that tight space very well. The wheel well access is hidden very well so you really don't...

    Centroid Fuel Sender

Thanks Howard. Mine is stock (12 inches I think) , and I calibrated it manually (the hard way), but not real trusting on the programming. I took a picture of my fuel sender prior to install but it's blurry. I think Centroid puts the OHM values on the top sticker. Does anyone have their...

    Centroid Fuel Sender

Most of us probably have the original Centroid fuel level sender in the tank. I believe the unit we have has continuous output of 2.33V empty and 0.54V full. My fuel gauge is based on ohms (240 empty and 33 full). 240/33 is the factory default setting from Speedhut for the fuel gauge (it is...

    Toe String Alignment Ref Points

Gents Without the body on, there are a lot of reference points to complete a string alignment for toe. Just looking to see what anyone is using to square up the reference lines once the body is on.....aka what reference point are you using to square things up?

I ordered it from RAMLift. The sizes are very odd. Not easily sourced. I highly recommend you order from them.

    Joel’s SL-C Build Thread

That’s a lot of techniques. Yes I’m 6-2, 230 and 67. So I have a lot of challenges getting onto a small car, but I got to tell you getting into the SLC is easier than my Vette. The doors are truly a non issue. Getting the steering wheel out of the way (remove able) makes it so easy. If the...
