    RCR #010 Build Progress

That's amazing that your having problems, these are usually extremely trouble free from my experiences. Just out of curiosity are these aftermarket starters or OEM starters? Jim

    RCR #010 Build Progress

Bill, On the starter, switch to a late model starter with the solenoid on the starter. These are permanent magnet starters and have more torque and from my experience have less problems. They are also smaller and sometimes fit into tight spots easier. If you don't want to get rid of your...

    Now this is speed!

Al, Thank you so much for sharing I couldn't stop smiling as I read on. I've been to Wright-Patterson a few times and had the privilege to stand in awe looking at both the SR71 and the XB70 Valkyrie, both sit side by side and are awesome aircraft. There is a YF-12A Interceptor in a separate...

Reverse rotation engine and porsche 930?

I believe Renegade Hybrid and Powerhaus can do the machining needed to flip the ring gear within the case if you really feel that you can't flip the trans itself. There are more trans shops that can do this I just can't recal the names off the top of my head.

Reverse rotation engine and porsche 930?

I would agree with Jac Mac. One other thing is the ring and pinion is designed to take load on the load side of the teeth not on the coast side. I think I would flip the ring gear and differential instead of reversing the engine rotation. Good luck at what ever you decide.

    audi 016 reinforcement plate

S Steve, I don't happen to have a jpg file handy, and I'm not really sure what good it would do you to have a picture. Andy just posted one if this helps. I don't have a drawing of this because I simply put the cast iron housing on a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) and got the data I...

    audi 016 reinforcement plate

Andy, Jim Dinner came up with this idea and he was using plain old 1/4" hot rolled flat stock. He's had great success. His plates were made using hole saws and drills bits, nothing extravagant. If your concerned check your flatness on a surface plate using a dial indicator. The thickness can...

Parts for rebuilt LSD 016R AOR gearbox for 944 Turbo S

If you have the Audi 016 transaxle and your trying to put the porsche 944Turbo ring and pinion into it: the pinion shaft is 4mm longer on the Porsche than on the Audi. This length difference occurs between 4th gear and 3rd gear. So you need to build a 4mm spacer plate to go in between the cast...

    audi 016 reinforcement plate

Guy's, If your interested I have an .igs 3D model that I designed based on Jim Dinners work. I used a CMM to measure the rear section of the Audi 016 trans then build the model based on those dimensions. I used this model to CNC machine my own plate. I can not offer the machining services...
