You may have a point Keith. For me half of the fun in the GT40 is to actually build one. If not, I could just grab one of these bargains for myself. If I do build one and if I do have to sell it, I will be happy to "only" sell it for the parts cost as I would have lost no money.

Did you bought the adapter somewhere or did you fabricate it yourself? Where there any issues with the shaft being further back due to the extra gap introduced by the plate?

Go twin turbo and you will hit the 450/500HP easily. You will have to fabricate the manifolds, tough ... And possibly go for a custom engine management system.

Nope, only the cylinder sizes are the same. Even the internal cooling/oiling paths are different.
