CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue **SOLD**

Re: CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue I used my Nikon SLR with one remote flash. It was an overcast morning about 9am. The commercial garage I used has rooftop parking and a pale grey surface with the lines kind of faded out. Works out well. But last time I went there with another car the...

CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue **SOLD**

Re: CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue The car is still for sale. Long distance tire kickers so far. Hemmings isn't the best site for these kinds of cars. Oh well I'm in no hurry. My minor maintenance has been a new clutch and slave cylinder. The real "project" was replacing the CAV rubber fuel...

CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue **SOLD**

Re: CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue The world of car registration and title can be obscure and different from one place to the next. Wherever the car goes it will be registered and titled with the numbers it has now or else it will be registered and titled based on its original CAV cert of...

CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue **SOLD**

Re: CAV Wide Body No. 104 Lemans Blue A police officer inspected the car and signed off on the VIN. Chassis number means the build sequence from CAV (107th car), which is different from the CAV cert of origin number, which is different from the VIN which Georgia allows the owner to assign if...

016 Transaxle - At Speed Stall

Great advice. Thanks. I would add that First Gear with this tranny is pretty much a waste. Ratio such that I gotta go "instantly" to second. Would like to change but don't really want to break open the box right now.

016 Transaxle - At Speed Stall

Based on above I will replace the clutch. Hopefully the disc is a "stock" unit. Is there any particular source or brand of disc that is recommended...that will fit with flywheel and pressure plate...or just go back with whatever is in there? I don't know the size til it's apart. And I won't do...

016 Transaxle - At Speed Stall

Thanks for quick reply, Ron. That just seems right. I will try this: from a standing start pull away in fifth gear, it should stall, if not, there's slippage. A more advanced test...I'll need to take it to my mechanic. If you have any advice on putting in an LSD let me know.

016 Transaxle - At Speed Stall

This transaxle is in a later model CAV. I think it's an open diff because when rear is jacked up tires spin in opposite directions. ISSUE: car has run fine for a couple of years. Now, under acceleration, when you get it on, or when shifting at speed, the engine rpm/tach needle goes up but car...

    It's Official - New GT

Ford has suggested the price for the new GT will be substantially above the 05-06...and closer to Lambo Huracan and the like cars ...so $250k plus seems to be where it's going...we'll see.
