Just an update: We qualified the LMP p1 by a healthy margin. In the one lap of qualifying we got, we ended up at a 1:57, which is a very conservative lap...I think it could be much closer to a 1:53 or a 1:51 with our current package and below the 1:50's with more power and without DOT tires...

Yes I was! I was driving the #33 Nissan. Made it from 13th to the lead...then got slammed from behind and got black-flagged for my bumper falling off. Lost a lap and still ended up p5! That Indy podium is elusive!

Sounds like your friend needs to visit a race track! We have been on track with several GT-R's and none of them have been able to stick within 3-4 seconds of our car per lap, and we had a very basic engine package at the time. Plus, I might be a Nissan race car driver...but the GT-R is not...

But, fingers crossed for the 25 hour! :thumbsup: That'd be an awesome event to be able to compete on the same track as another Superlite Coupe and finish 1-2. We'd get some good TV time out of it and be able to prove the endurance of the cars!
