Mike, I also own one of the early SPF cars. A MK1. I live in the Charlotte area. How many miles do you have on your car? I'm about to hit 20,000, and enjoy driving it 1-2 times per week. I've had it on the track a few times at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but use it mostly for street driving.

Not sure if this helps but I'll offer. I live about 3 hours from the track here in Medford, WI. I would be willing to house your car in my secure garage (free) if that offers you shipping flexibility. I also have a cuople of contacts near Milwuakee (closer to Road America) that may be willing to help. They are Porsche guys w/ good reputations but I would have to ask if they are willing/able to help. Let me know if any of this is of interest....but I understand reluctance to turn your car over to people you've never met.
