DRB #67 GT40 Hits The Road

Well, there's not much to see regarding photos. It's not painted and so looks like any other DRB in Gulf blue gel coat. All the painting and finishing off will happen once car is road registered. It does have a CAMS log book already though, so it's a race car, if not yet a road car!

DRB #67 GT40 Hits The Road

Well, after nearly a year in the build, DRB #67 hit the road for the first time last weekend. Wasn't a real exciting drive, but was nice to verify that it all worked as it should, clutch notwithstanding. Plan was to drive it to workshop for wheel alignment first thing, but clutch decided not...

question on ride height adjustment - need starting position

No one can answer that question! For instance, what springs are you running (rate & free length), what damper body length etc, etc. Just wind up adjusters till they contact springs on each corner and let it down. Even then you won't get the true ride height until the car has been driven a...

    Aerodynamic Data for GT40s

Firstly a qualifier: I'm no aero expert! In all this discussion, I agree with the main points 1. Rear spoiler of car works fine as is (data suggests this). 2. Front needs a splitter as the std Mk 1b front end does very little (by looking at it) to minimise air going under the car (bad)...

    Dashboard

That's some nice work with the dash there Lance. Must catch up sometime and see how the car is coming along. Next time you ask, I hope to be in Perth to take you up on the offer! Regarding speedo placement. Well, the ADR says it can be a maximum of 30 deg to the left of the drivers eyes. So...
