Well, after nearly a year in the build, DRB #67 hit the road for the first time last weekend. Wasn't a real exciting drive, but was nice to verify that it all worked as it should, clutch notwithstanding.
Plan was to drive it to workshop for wheel alignment first thing, but clutch decided not to disengage fully. After fooling around with different slave and master cylinders, bleeding etc, we decided a quick drive down the road may free the clutch plate up. Didn't work! Anyways, no clutch don't stop you driving down a quiet road, so that was still alright. After pulling gearbox and clutch out it turned out to be a cracked pressure plate spring, unlucky... Faulty part I guess.Oh well, another pressure plate should be on it's way and we'll try again in a couple of weeks.
Looking forward to driving it a bit more after wheel alignment to set up brake balance. Then bring it home to get it engineered and registered. Getting closer!
