It does look like the cage was hit by the end of the shaft (during insertion) the domino effect knocked out the back roller, prior to the shaft being there to 'capture' it, so it has been in the bottom of the case since then,.... how did you do in last week's lottery? K

Looks good Andrew, FWIW, I'd recommend not riveting just yet the triangular panels just under the filler caps, you may want access when you connect up all the filler lines and vents.

I'm pretty happy with designing the mechanisms at the rear (box) end of things, the main concern I have is the movement at the gear stick, transferring cross-gate stick movement to a pull push action on the cable going to the box, any advice or direction welcome. K

Hey James, I'm trying to develop a centre shift for a tornado with Renault 013 box, what mechanism have you got planned for cabin and box ends of things. the shifter you have at present, what is that, MR2?

Paul, the selector bar, that is moved to select the various gears runs through the box and out the other side, I guess whoever did the car simply used the other side. I've seen some where one cable is to the left, the other cable is to the right. K

Good idea Russell, see the pix below of the box, the red cables you see are the GTD ones, just set in place to check the lengths. K
