That document says the active sensors can be Hall or MR (magnetoresistive). I have no experience with MR. But many ECUs can handle Hall sensors. In any case, it probably is not too difficult to convert either sensor's signal to something usable. I'm really thinking more about front hubs...

On the sensors, aren't the 'active' sensors just Hall Effect sensors? Vs the VR sensors used on the other hubs? Most ECUs should be able to handle Hall sensors. But you will need to power them and may need to shield the wires.

I should add that I used sodium silicate to ‘seal’ the pores since these are water fittings. I am sure modern automotive parts don’t need this, but this casting is a lot closer to old school methods and sodium silicate is the way automotive water fittings where sealed back in the day.
