Ive been using a 4 puck carbotic type solid clutch plate for a few years now and I've found it to be quite driveable even when reversing onto my trailer :cool:
It’s usually the CV that fails when the ball cage Carks it
Tip :- deburr and polish the ball flights - use quality ( Cro Mo ) ball cages
Assemble CV in its correct orientation and in phase at each end of shaft

Anyway, fixerup and give it another crack ---- f#$k it, fix it, fang it- and repeat -that's how we roll :-)
Your first para sounds like it dives under braking which means you need to dial in some anti dive - achieved by raking the lower control arm -i think?

I think it bled fairly well (most of track) and was cleaned up for photo presentation :cool:
looks like smashing 3 rd gear must have pushed the gearbox off
With fresh Hoosier R7s 275 / 50 / 15 at 5500 rpm a 3:44 diff ratio 1/ 3.154, 2/ 1.789, 3/ 1.269, 4/ .967, 5/ .756 =~265 klmh (165mph) not quite max yet but the car loved it :)

Well, my only explanation is that the Co. I collect my pension from offers 3 external counter weights 50, 32 and 28 oz
I think that Tickford who built some factory 347 here in Aust. may have instigated such a variation --- I'll dig a bit further - promise
