    Rick's RCR GT40

I finished the fiberglass work on the dash, I extended the ends of the dash so that they would touch the sill. I then molded a lip on the front edge to support the front (where it meets the windshield) of the dash. Then I molded in a recess into the front edge of the demister grill inset area so...

    Rick's RCR GT40

Lee, John and Ven, During the past 2 months I have accepted a job offer in Fort Worth so my time has been consumed with selling my house, house hunting on the weekends in the Fort Worth area, purchasing a house in North Richland Hills and getting someone set up to take over my former...

possibly the sickest engine/tran package for an SLC ??

I put a Harrop Hurricane cross ram (form Australia) fly by wire controlled cross ram on my 280Z conversion. With 58mm throttle bodies it will flow plenty of air for whatever you want to do to your engine. This intake should fit very nicely in an LS powered SLC.

    DAX40 Return to the Road

Try stainless steel wool, it will not disappear as fast as the fiberglass because it will not break into little parts as easily.

Bill, I'm a righty but I am not in my "right" mind, more fun that way and I have an excuse. :) A couple of pictures showing modifications to the fuel tank.

    Rick's RCR GT40

Lee, A lot of people put the shifter on the outside but I like the cleaner look and the extra room with it located in the sill. Like Sarah Palin said "Drill Baby Drill!", I will drill holes to get the cables into the engine bay and I have modified the fuel tank for clearance. The tank is being...

    Rick's RCR GT40

While I am waiting for my RBT ZF transaxle I fit the bellhousing and starter to check for clearance. The Powermaster starter can be clocked to any position which allows it to fit very close to the block. I think that I will not need to use the starter pocket since the starter fits so close to...

    Rick's RCR GT40

Gary, Nice GT40, I really like the blue on your 40. I am thinking of a similar blue but with a tangerine stripe (still deciding on single stripe or gulf stripe but the wheels will be same color as the stripe). Rick

    Rick's RCR GT40

Due to the holidays and ordering / waiting on parts I didn't do much work. I worked on fitting the alternator and a/c compressor. I ordered an alternator bracket for a Dodge 383 and cut it up to make the adjuster for the a/c compressor and 2 of the brackets that mount the alternator. I still...

    Rick's RCR GT40

I added a fuel return to the left tank since I will transfer fuel from the right tank to the left tank through a check valve that ties into the fuel return from the pressure regulator to the surge pot which then flows to the left fuel tank. The left tank feeds the swirl pot through a 40 micron...

    Rick's RCR GT40

Lee, I will post update later tonight. Tru, The bottom of the plenum is 1/4" plywood laminated with 1/16" aluminum on both sides. I will insulate the bottom of the plenum and the top of the dash as well.
