Well, my fuel problem was something simple that I did wrong. After dis-assembling everything and testing each component on the bench I discovered I had the polarity backwards on the pump. It was not marked on the pump and I went by the instructions (first mistake). Switched the terminals and...

Attempted “first start” today but to no avail. Holley Terminator system is all setup and all sensors are working properly. My low pressure pump is filling the swirl pot no problems but the high pressure pump is not feeding any fuel to the fuel rail. You cannot even smell fuel in the HP fuel...

Del, Thank you for the heads up. The nuts on my bracket are tig welded on two sides. I still plan to remove them and replace the mail threaded rod ends with female threaded rod ends bolted thru the bracket. I will use spacers to set the location.

    Mounting the Superlite emblems

Bill at RCR responded back and is sending me the Forgestar center caps for my kit. The customer service from RCR remains top notch!!

Johan, I am running stock LS2 injectors which are the proper length for the FAST intake, no spacers required. I agree, that is odd the spacers install on the spray side of the injectors. One would think that would limit atomization unless the spray pattern widens up past the spacer.

Thanks Joel, I’ll have to ask Bill about them.

    Mounting the Superlite emblems

Joel, Did emblems come with your kit or did you purchase them separately? I did not receive anything with my kit (no wheel center caps or any emblems) so I am just curious.

Over this weekend I have managed to spend some in my shop on the SL-C (it has been raining all weekend, not complaining, we need it). 1) Trial fit the spider 2) Trial fit the rear clam 3) Finished more of the coolant system plumbing routing for the expansion tank (more fittings on order, due to...

Thanks Joel, that clears it up for me. I was going by the manual, I will mount it up the way Allan does, I agree with what he says 100%. There is no way to pull the body out and under the chassis side skirts. I think it would be a challenge even without the interior tub from what I see. Fit...

Time to use my "phone a friend" lifeline. OK, fitting the spider on the chassis and I need to some help. I have everything cut out for the coolant pipes and the spider is sitting in the grooves in the tub for alignment. I cannot get the front lower sections of the spider to fit underneath the...

Placement of cooling tubes under front control arm

Yes, I plan to trim off the excess bolts on the t bolt clamps. I have them pointing down for easy access to tighten them if needed with the body on. My system is completely plumbed now and pressure tested. Fixed three leaks and all is well!

Not relative to my SL-C but while the wife and I were at a local car show the other night a local radio station interviewed me about the wife's GTO. She did not want to be on the interview so it was my four minutes of fame (LOL)!

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

Hector, Different bolt manufacturers give different torque specifications for their bolts independent of other manufacturers. The specification is also different if the bolt is dry versus lubricated with oil versus lubricated with anti seize versus lubricated with thread locker (Loctite) in...

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

13.87 volts at the battery under full system load is good, alternator appears to be operating fine. I had done a lot of research on the two wire alternator because that is what was on my donor engine. I am running a Holley ECU so I have no alternator control. I switched to a four wire...

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

Dan, just looked up the PN of the alternator you have and it is a four pin. Summit and others sell a plug to connect this. In addition to the plug and wire there is a resistor that is required in the circuit. One option is Painless part number 30705. Holley also makes one, PN 197-400 (I think...

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

Dan, the modern GM one wire alternators require a voltage feed to “excite” them. These are the ones with a four pin connector on the back side of them. You need to connect the exciter wire to a switched 12 volt connection. If you have a 2 pin connector on your alternator it is ECU controlled...

    S2's Build Thread

Joel, Trial fitting my pedals with my size 12 shoes I find that if my foot is vertical on the brakes the tip of my shoe hits the steering column with the pedals on the floor. There is less than 1/2" clearance between my brake pedal pad and the steering column. I have the stock steering column...

Joel, I have not mocked up my AC lines inside the interior yet, hoping I can make the hoses work. I do agree that if you use aluminum tubing for the AC lines the -8 line could give off some heat. A little insulation around the tube would probably take care of it though. I think the hoses...
