    RCR "Gulf style" flares needed?

Hey Lee! Good to hear from you. Great to find a place where so many old GTD people are still around. I've tried to find Andy and crew over the years but never managed it. We had some good times :D Everyone else, thanks for the confirmation. I'm talking to Fran and googling pics of the 3...

    Engine power!

+1 I broke the drive shafts on my GTD pretty easily, with a pretty mild marine 302, but that was after 60k miles admittedly

    RCR "Gulf style" flares needed?

P.S. All I had to do to make these fit was grind off the return lip of the bodywork, and be very precise with the wheel offset :D

    RCR "Gulf style" flares needed?

I built a GTD40 in England back in 88-93 ish (it's a long time ago!) and I'm hankering after an RCR40 now, so I've started planning. Back then, I built custom 3-piece wheels using a custom billet center and bolt-on rims so I have no idea what width I ended up at - but I used a Bridgestone...

72s lap of Goodwood? Isn't that faster than the 1:18 lap record?

Thoughts around SLC as a race car.

Well, this is why I'd go for GTM - a space frame chassis is far easier to modify.

Thoughts around SLC as a race car.

I'd go for the GTM personally, having followed these guys for a while: https://www.factoryfive.com/whats-new/team-pdg-scores-podium-finish-at-25-hours-of-thunderhill/ But that's just because of familiarity and the fact it's Vette-based.

    Steve's GT-R Build Thread

I'm amazed at 3090.. plus glass - seems a lot more than what I'd expect. I was thinking these were more like 2600. I believe my GTD40 was ~2450.

    Scott T's build - Safir GT40

Man, she looks good for a barn find! Not what I was expecting after the "brakes seized" comment. Great find.

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

This is a couple of feet from an open wheel, with no protection (fenderless hot rod), so it solved the protection problem, plus you need to mount it somehow (and tidy it up).

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

I put my valve in engine bay for that reason too (obv very different car), then attached it to a simple aluminum cover.

    Goodwood Revival 2020 family trip

I just heard the revival got canceled for this year. "Summer is normally an exciting time at Goodwood, as we welcome hundreds of thousands of guests to our headline events. Sadly that’s not to be this year, as we have had to take the decision not to hold the Festival of Speed and Revival in...

    Southern GT #48

I did the same thing - had them so I could use either one, or both, but didn't balance them. It gave me a "reserve" when driving on road trips, and at the track I'd run both at once. I had to run all fuel lines in the back through that aeroquip orange insulation.

GT40.com memorial page for Mr John Horsman

    > but the best one is in his wonderful book "Racing In The Rain" I went to look for this last night and all I found were hardbacks at $300+, no paperbacks. I guess a short print run in 2006. I'll have to sneak that through the garage budget when the boss isn't looking..
