Front Hub to Steering Knuckle bolts

Here are a couple of photos. The bearing is held to the knuckle with 4 bolts (or something). On the picture of the knuckle you can see where whatever was previously attached also had bigger holes. The 4 holes in the knuckle are about 12mm across, while the 4 holes in the bearing are about 10mm...

Front Hub to Steering Knuckle bolts

When putting together my front bearing to steering knuckles (Corvette 86ish) I notice that the holes in the bearing and in the knuckle are different sizes. The holes in the bearing are about 12mm, while the holes in the knuckle are about 10mm. Do they use a special bolt for this job, or do you...

I described something recently, which I think may be the same thing. This is how I described it. "On the old board it would indicate which Forums had new posts since last logging on. That continues in the new board. However, If I chose not to look into a particular forum on a particular visit...

    New posts indicator

This might be a bit long winded, but please hold on. On the old board it would indicate which Forums had new posts since last logging on. That continues in the new board. However, If I chose not to look into a particular forum on a particular visit, the board would remember the Forums I had...

Car Parking for British Grand Prix

I hope it's OK to post this here. As part of my son's school's fund raising effort, they turn their playground into a Car Park each year for the Grand Prix. It is in the village, on the High Street, a short walk from the circuit. As a result there is a good atmosphere. Also the playgrounds...

Supertrapps may reduce the noise, but will they pass SVA? It looks like they would fail the sharp edges tests. Anyone know?

    Thoughts on "For Sale" Section

Re: Thoughts on \"For Sale\" Section I look at at it this way. If you a regular participant here - exchanging information with other like minded people, it makes sense for you to contribute to the upkeep of the forum (it doesn't need to be much). That is whether you receive more or pass on...

    Cibie Headlights

Hi Paul For fuses use the equation Watts = Volts x Amps. Swap it around to get Amps (fuse) = Watts (Bulb) / Volts (12). So if you have a fuse per bulb element you need 100 / 12 = 8.3 Amps, so a 10 amp fuse per main beam filament. Your 7.5 amp fuses will get hot and probably blow soon. I would...

    GT40 Australia Chassis #64

Re: Chassis #64 due in July Hi Dave No worries, you mentioned about doing hillclimbs and CAMS certification. Bill's cage will be easier to get in and out with, but is VERY unlikely (read impossible) to meet CAMS requirements from what I have been told. If you want a cage for your protection on...

    GT40 Australia Chassis #64

Re: Chassis #64 due in July Dave I have one of two cars fitted with Pets's full roll cage. The other is with John_Tiemann in USA. He has posted here in the past. http://www.gt40s.com/ubbthreads/dosearch...&fromprof=1 My understanding is that the cage itself cannot be certified by CAMS...

    SVA instruments

I have heard it mentioned that for SVA we need the instruments to have symbols, rather than words. Please can someone tell me if that is true or false by referring to the relevant paragraph. I don't seem to be able to find anything in the sva manual. Any help appreciated. Thanks Lee
