    Lighting upgrad

Here is a link to a quite smart tool to calculate , line size, Voltage drop. It gives a reco about the quality of wire dimensioning. 1,5mm square could be a bit wimpy for headlights if run directly from the switch. you will compromise the possible light output of your existing bulbs. Besides...

    Jason's Coyote Powered RCR40 Downunder

Jason No i would use one fixed and one adjustable blade arm as well. The farer you have your droplinks located inboard on the suspension arms the softer the roll bar effect will be. The same bar with the same arms but droplinks located more outboard will be stiffer. Of course travel is less...

    Jason's Coyote Powered RCR40 Downunder

We have build a single blade setup on the 917 and also Fran is using them on his racecars. I think it all depends on the suspension travel involved and the cars geometry and therefore its tention to roll. I´m also thinking about converting my setup to an cockpit adjustable blade setup. The...

    Jason's Coyote Powered RCR40 Downunder

    Just picked up my GTD40!!!

HI John congratulations to your new baby. Looks good to me. The vid is very interesting, because it is very clear to hear the difference of your exhaust system to a 180°Crossover system. Sounds much more typical V8, especially in idle. TOM

Improper Cam Break In - Zinc Additives?

Alan i may be wrong but i always thought the number in the VR1 datasheet states the values in percent: As 0.13% =1300 ppm and 0.14% = 1400 ppm This would go coherent with the reco of ZDDP additive manufacturers for a need of at least 0.18% (1800pppm) of Zinc and 0.13% of Phosphorus...

Here is another information on the wiper setup The Wiperarm has been made out of the original Landrover lower part ( which fits the lucase unit perfectly) and a BMW type 3 wiperarm. I have chosen this wiperarm because it was long enough to fit to custom lenght and it was bend only lightly. I...

2nd Failure on an Accel DFI Dizzy

I think have posted about that specific topic in the electric section. Althoug i have wired my Fans and other "generating units" (like the magnetic solenoid valve of the ACCUSUMP) via relais i experienced high voltage peaks in my system when shutting down this units. Solution to that is to...

    Tornado Build - www.gt40builder.com

The only thing i can think of is, to take a look at the corrossion potential of different metals in combination with a electrolytic liquid. If we take a look onto the row of electríc potentials of different metals it looks like: Copper ++ (+0,34V Standard) Stainless Steel ++ (+0,1 - +0,4 V...
