Looking good Mike! I have seen some headlights advertised that have a small section of the lower part of the lense as a turn signal. Think the "hot rod" parts suppliers do them. Maybe an option? Edit, like this, but maybe not a good example...

Wearing a seatbelt is mandatory in SA too. Enforcement of road traffic rules is very lax in SA, except for camera speed traps. Often see bikes running with no number plates at all. Cheers Fred W B

Thanks Mike The chassis I've built so far is a rough mock up protoype that I put together to sort the ergonomics and the layout of the running gear. Its a tube frame with ally skinning to the centre section. I welded it almost fully and tested the torsional stiffness. I stopped working on it...

If you have quite a bit to take off I've had good results dressing the edge on a bench belt sander. If you don't have one you can grip a handheld version upside down in a vice. Then you can hold the part in both hands and squat or kneel down to get a good view of what you are doing. Mark where...

I plan to do my quad downdrafts on the cheap by rebuilding second hand Dellorto 40s (ex Alfa 1.7 Alfa boxers) and mounting them on fabricated manifolds similar to this (not my picture)
