    Jokes anyone? -

I have a friend who sends me a Joke-a-Day...found this one quite humorous...and appropriate for all of y'all who really do think the government is fooling us regarding global warming. I wanted to post it in that thread, but it's worse than the Politics thread was, so y'all got it here: The...

    H Craft GT-R

I've been watching these GT-R builds...seems like a great way to get a Ford's 5.4L Triton engine (that's what Ford puts into their GT, except the GT has a blower on the 5.4) or a Coyote engine in a GT body. Win-win all around....hard to get those engines into the engine bays of standard size...

    power steering ?

Dave, I believe our Aussie friend Pete put some sort of electric power steering on his 40, you might check with him. I have no idea if his 40 is the same brand as yours ("logic" says it wouldn't be), but maybe the product he used would fit your 40. Cheers! Doug

    This girl apparently likes GT40s.....

Tats are nothing more than wearable art, Larry...the appreciation of which is a highly subjective issue. I don’t have any tats, but my daughter has a beautifully rendered version of the purple tree from the Robin Williams movie “What Dreams May Come” tatted on her left thigh. Being an...

24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend!

Yep...watching it right now. I’m not seeing any racecars that resemble our beloved 40s...in fact, many of the purpose-built cars seem to have what looks like a long vertical “tail” that stretches from the cockpit to the rear wing. Is that just a support for the wing, or is it an aerodynamic...

Will There Be a Paddock on the New GT40s.com?

Bill Barwick says it well in a song he named “George’s Rule”: “Never argue with someone more stupid than you. It’ll just make ‘em mad if you do. Just leave ‘em believing what they know to be true. Never argue with someone more stupid than you!” I have the bumper sticker on the case for...

Will There Be a Paddock on the New GT40s.com?

The more I read, the more I like the password protected idea. I will say, though (and this is mostly contrary to what I hear others stating) I'd like for the new posts in the password protected section to be referenced on the "New Posts" option, just like other new posts. Even if they do show up...

    GT40s.com Paddock Politics Thread

I've been mulling over all of this and I think I've finally figured out where I stand on this POTUS. First of all, it's difficult to believe ANYTHING the guy says, so many "mistruths" have emanated from his mouth. In my opinion he's a despicable character (many of you think the same of...

There's that "Your side" crap again. I'm "left-leaning", admit it, and yet I do not subscribe to the techniques promoted by Alinsky. Too much "assumption" around here... Doug

You know, Scott, I think both Trump and HC are guilty of certain transgressions regarding the appropriate use and inappropriate abuse of our governmental system. Having said that, I believe both should be treated equally...either charge both with a crime or give it up....but now Mueller says a...

I count myself among that group...have 4 different weapons, all the way from a .22 rifle up to a .410 single shot and a 12 gauge pump shotgun, and finally a .38 revolver that my great grandmother bought in the late 1800's because the family was experiencing some "losses" in the chicken house at...

Larry, Larry, Larry...we've been over this before, so please pay attention this time. To quote one of our Nobel prize winners for Literature (believe it or not), "The times, they are a changing"! Our society is and always will be in a state of flux and things that were necessary or even...

Well, these days it could be a DVR or a cable box or an "Alexa" or the ubiquitous microwave or even a flat screen TV, they are pretty easy to carry. Agreed, Rod! As I have said, I like some of the things I see him doing...changing his mind on the "Dreamers" issue, that sort of thing. OTOH, he's still operating this country like it's his own business to do with as he pleases....:furious: I doubt if bringing 3 Americans home will...
