    Handbrake Caliper

Hi Mark Do a search for Brembo handbrake calipers, looks like they were fitted to Jaguar 'S' type & I believe the current Lotus Exige uses them. This is what you want. Regards Andy

Problems finding a suitable door seal

Hi Nick, I used seal profile ETS60 from Seals Direct, which is also sold by CBS under part number TRMDRL. As it is not a bulb seal, I found it more compliant and easier to use, as it was not trying to lift the door, as the sealing part of the seal takes up less space when...

Problems finding a suitable door seal

Hi Nick, I would grind the edge of the panel until the seal fits, a bit messy but easier to use a standard seal. Regards, Andy

    Brett's RS GTD

Hi Brett, I would look at reducing the height of the boss on the waterpump the tensioner mounts onto. The pump body may require re-tapping to ensure you don’t strip the thread.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> Keep up the good work, you’re nearly...

    Bob's GT Forte scratch build.

Hi Bob, No problems using my pics. I posted them so that other people would have reference material for a decent build and the stuff not covered in the build manual!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> The main reason I moved the A/R bar...

    KVA / SGT build

Hi Udo, Nice to see a Mk111 coming back to life<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> Looking at the photo of your radiator, it needs to be rubber mounted, otherwise as the frame flexes it will twist the radiator and eventually lead to...

Classic & Sportscar Show NEC Birmingham 10-12 November

Firstly a big thank to Darren & Andrew for organising the stand and collating a stunning collection of vehicles. It was an excellent event and a pleasure to have my car as part of the show. It was nice chatting to existing and potential owners and it was clear that the GT40 is still one of the...

    New GTD40 owner

Hi Steve, Welcome to the forum. I think Mike has the Cambridge in Gloucestershire mixed up with the correct Cambridge in Cambridgeshire. So your nearest local meet is probably the East Anglia Area which meets on the 2nd Tuesday in the Month at the Scole Inn, near Diss. We regularly have owners...

    MOT.

Hi John, Do you mean MOT or IVA, as there is a huge difference in the level of inspection that is carried out. An IVA certificate is required to obtain a registration document, or are you putting it through an MOT to set up the lights & brakes Anyway, which ever test it is, good luck Regards, Andy

    SouthernGT No6

Hi Nick, In your defence, I had the same issue with mine, spending the first test runs starting off in third and slipping the clutch, until I realised what the issue was.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Well done mate and when is it...

Has anyone assembled these ht plugs?

Hi Dave, I assembled similar boots when I made my HT leads, but was using Ford Gen1 coil packs, so slightly different. I used washing up liquid to pull the cable through, which worked fine, but you do need to use the correct crimping tool, otherwise the cable pulls out during assembly (learnt...

Nicks Forte Scratch Build - to Stunning Mk1 GTD

Hi Nick, Glad to see your making progress on your '40 With your shifter in your preffered position, make sure that it doesn't effect getting in and out of the car. Mine's as far forward as practical, but still falls naturally to hand, but still I end up catching my trouser leg on it! Rgds Andy

    Thats strange ...

Hi John, Glad you found the route cause of the issue. Wire in a relay so you don't get a repeat failure, even if you get one with a higher current rating. Rgds, Andy
