Agree with Brian, get yourself a rivet spacer best tool I had at the time and means nice straight lines of even rivet holes, then Cleco's I used loads for a nice dry fit of all panels and don't be in too much of a rush to rivet then if they are in areas for pipes and cables, I had to drill a few...

Just wear a black bin liner plus Sowester you'll be fine!!!! :) Mine is not quite that far built so cannot comment but from what I can see in the build so far it would be a bugger to get bone dry

Ah ok will do, circuit is fine when bridged so I know its the Trinary not yet doing its bit but will let it get right up to temp, etc and see, have ordered another just in case from Car Builder Solutions as they are good at returns Cheers

Hi Andy Quick question how soon should Switch 1 kick in? I ran it up and got cold air for about 5 minutes but the fans still did not trigger, my charge is about middle green so good pressure, just wondered if I actually have a duff Trinary, most of the ret of the AC kit was a bit of a balls up...

Just for info for any other poor soul who gets his loom from a guy who clearly did not have its heart in the job at the end :) So the trinary provides a earth contact when the condenser fan is needed to activate the fan relay by providing an earth, except my fan relay is not wired for a earth...

One more for the pot, so pressured up the AC tonight, clutch works fine (did not on low pressure but did when fully charged). The Blue / White which triggers the fans to run is there a delay on that or will it only trigger when the engine and compressor are running as I am not getting 12V out...

Just my fuse box is not with hindsight (a great thing that) is the easiest place to get to so I though maybe mcb type blade fuses would be an option, easy to see / feel when tripped and reset. Mystery solved so they do 2 it seems not very clear from the site but one is latch and one not but anyhow looking I was being lazy as per Andy's schematic its dead easy to do with a £4 relay just use the output to hold the coil on

@Paulbav did you use a momentary or latching switch for the fog? Wire mine tonight with a momentary and it turns the fog on but it goes straight off

Wonder how this leaves RCR D Type, was thinking of one of those next after my GT 40 will they go after them as well or are they not worried about those as they are not recreating them? also hard to find all the replicas out there but going after firms would be the easy target.

I might have a spare non latching one I think? Those switched look the part but the terminals on the back are not great, really small and the cables slip off easily, I will probably once all sorted just pipe a bit of silicon to hold them in place

Evening all, Quick IVA question re fog lights, I have mine wired on a latched switch that only operates when the dip beam is on, is there a need for the fog light to be latching so that if I turn the dip off the fog lights go off with it? Only issue I see with that is the only way to turn a fog...

So top tip of the night, when you remove the alternator loom just remember to kill the battery supply, which I did not so turned round a short while later to see a plume of smoke from the engine..... Wire had dropped and clipped a nut and shorted, result one fried section luckily not so bad only...
