Advice on weatherproofing a Southern GT Pedal box

I had a cover made to go over the pedal box which with a little sealing could made it pretty watertight, the bloke made 2 so have a spare if you want it?

    Southern GT #48

I used a pair of these in mine they feed a swirl pot then HP to the fuel rail, I spent ages looking at fuel pumps, these lift which is good as they are sited (as they seem to be in most GT40's) above the tank...

Agree Speedflow are good as are this lot who I use and a bit cheaper https://www.motorsport-tools.com/ I did some some from other suppliers but they were shocking, no taper on the insert into the hose so very easy to catch the PTFE lining. Laos for odd ones there is an y seller, they are also...

If you do use clamps and like you chaps I am never sure why cheapo worm drive ones are used, I always use the Mikalor stainless T Bolt clamps, so much better to tighten.

    Ultrasonic cleaning

Hi Ron, I use EP26R as its quite gentle on the cable parts but with carbs you can use stronger, there are a few others this is a UK site but will give some pointers https://www.carbusonic.co.uk/Ultrasonic-Cleaning-Solution/

    Finally GT40

Its been a hoot all the way, not yet done it always takes longer than you think but for me and I think a lot on here, the build is as much a part of the GT40 as the driving, as I say the next one will be a doddle :) Plenty of support and advice on the forum and with SGT Mick is always there to...

    Finally GT40

Hi Paul, I can only comment from experience but I would recommend SGT 100%, its a great product and Mick & Carol are a pleasure to work with, I am sure there are some others out there with other makes who can provide input but as I say I did a lot of research before I chose and SGT for me were...

Plug and play loom for 302 EFI

Mick has a guy that will send an initial map to get it started then do the final tuning. I went for a MSD8579 billet distributor with a MSD6AL ignition control and to keep it MSD I chose the MSD Ignition Blaster 2 Not sure of single or dual Lambda but Mick did suggest dual so opted for that...

Plug and play loom for 302 EFI

Hi Jack, Mick at SGT supplies a Motec ECU, I am just fitting mine now which is a little bit of a challenge not least as my Jenvey manifold fouls the MSD Distributor, some careful grinding has taken place. He also has a guy who builds a loom for it as well, mine is a 302 (stroked) got some...

    Does anybody know......

What sort of plug this is? I have searched the web high and low, it looked like a Bosch but as per image it's has 4 slots not 3, its for the MAP sensor on my ECU loom, not that it matches my map sensor which has a 3 round pin plug but I wanted to see if there was an adaptor or I could make one...

    Southern GT #48

Yes you do have to modify the bracket a little I remember doing that now Mark mentions it, mind you they were wrong for my box. My brackets have the single leg at the top and worth checking for sire as the bolt holes are the same top and bottom so easily done

    Southern GT #48

Mine was an "odd" box so Mick made some brackets up, they actually work very well Mick at SGT must have read our chat as he said you can Dremmel a small amount off the casing to get clearance!! I'll give it a go later today,
