Randy that is very helpful. The attention to detail both in the build and your site is very impressive. Thanks!

    Cooling system concern

Thanks guys. Im curious to see how it works but I think I'm going to have the ports swapped on the radiator eventually. The big bugaboo in this case is the possibility of a negative pressure at the return side (like Franks return rad hose collapsing) causing the water pump to starve and making...

    Cooling system concern

When I purchased my car secondhand it came with a set of well made stainless steel tubes from the engine to the radiator. Now that I'm at the point of finalizing the cooling system I realized the tubes are backwards. The radiator outlet is at the top of the rad. The issue being any steam/ gases...

    G96/01 rear support

I'm using a Porsche G96/01- LS3 combo. The rear section of the trans is not supported. I believe I read somewhere some builders are using a rear trans mount. My engine and trans are solidly mounted. Any suggestions?

Next question: What size is the slave cylinder line fitting for a Porsche G96? I assumed it was M10 x 1.0 but when I measured it the internal threads measured 10.96mm. Thanks in advance

    AMT - Automated Manual Transaxle?

Install a Turbo Hayabusa engine. Good for up to 500hp. Upgrade the clutch(no hole shots!) and your good to go. Save hundreds of pounds and become very familiar with internal transmission rebuilds. Sounds like a win win....oops trans explosion. Im sticking with an LS3 and a G96.

True and I also attributed it to the clutch manufacturers limiting options to control costs. It was just a very strange coincidence having the input shaft in my tool box. I was then ready to reinstall the trans and was checking the throwout bearing installation. When I removed the fork to...

    New owner!

Okay I believe I just entered an alternate universe. I took my Porsche G96/01 transaxle off my LS3 that has a G-Box adapter. I wanted to check the flywheel and pressure plate bolt torques. I removed the trans with trepidation because I knew it would prove to be a challenge to align the clutch...

Ken thanks for the reply. This is actually the lower control arm with the billet aluminum cup inside the tub for the lower rear control arm heim. i'm thinking to leave it alone as opposed to destroying something. In the manual it does say the washers are suggested which leads me to believe I...

OK i have another situation. I've disassembled the R/F suspension and steering. I noted the rear chassis mount for the lower control arm didn't have washers under the four button head bolts that secure it to the tub. I was unable to get any of the bolts loose at all (applied some heat and used a...
