    GT40 TIRELIST (mainly 15")

Bill, I used the 325 Nittos on a Cobra and I loved them. They just were a bit too wide for the rear 15s and the sidewalls kinda balooned outward. Also, they kick up a lot of road debris and small stones. The compound was very slick-like. Really stuck like glue.

I remember ordering a bunch. Let me look and see if I have 1 to spare.

    Lucas Switch Extenders

I got mine from minimania.com. I use them on the Mini and the Cobra. I can reach the switches on the GT; and they cover gauges in the up position. Site's down at the moment, maybe maintenance. Try this link in a while... www.minimania.com/InvDetail.cfm?Item=FSE

    drivetrain/clutch shutter! tranny mounts?

Quite frankly, I didn't see that much of a difference from when I reinforced the platform. Welding in square inserts showed a major improvement after the platform had broken from all the torque and shuddering. Granted, I really haven't driven the car any distance; maybe a mile or so to gas up...

    drivetrain/clutch shutter! tranny mounts?

Here's how my mounts turned out after using Casey's suggested fix. The upper RH is a bit chewed up as the poly is really hard to chop without cutting off one of your fingers. My reinforcements to the platform look rough in the pics but they're OK in person boomsmile

GT40 listed on Ebay - Carbon Fiber Panels

Having an auction with no reserve is really a good way to weed out tyre-kickers and non-serious bidders. It appears the seller set $69K as the minimum bid; and if there is 1 bidder at that price, that bidder gets the car. Would have been a good deal IMHO, but...Sometimes, the seller will panic...

    Nitrous for Webers?

Thanks Paul, Well, another 50hp would be nice. Yes, it seems it would be quite a project to fit N0x to Webers. The more I think about it, with all the aux. systems that would be needed, a set of hot heads may be the answer.

    Redline Weber 48 IDAs

Martin, I got their kit for the small block Ford (302). If you use vacuum, you need to plumb the manifold. I sent my setup to Ian of CAV Canada, who did a fantastic job. Turns out, I had to tune without dizzy vacuum advance, but still needed the tap for brake servo. The stock setup they had was...

    Nitrous for Webers?

Just thinking out loud... When I changed over to Webers, I had lots of problems with timing, vacuum, etc. but finally sorted it out, not using the manifold vacuum for dizzy advance. tMy manifold dwas expertly plumbed by Ian of CAV Canada. I did use the brake servo vacuum tap. So, my...

    drivetrain/clutch shutter! tranny mounts?

Jean, thanks for your excellent attention to owner's woes... Quick question: do the new motor mounts allow any fore/aft and up/down adjustability? Thanks

    Hot ignition switch

http://www.gt40s.com/forum/cav-gt40-talk/18277-fun-relays.html previously posted link was bad... Eventually, because I had upgraded to larger/stronger SPAL fans, under full load, the switch was frying when A/C, headlights, then fans would go on. Not only was the switch overloaded, the wires...

    drivetrain/clutch shutter! tranny mounts?

Nice Job! What size bolts did you use? I ordered the poly tube; I think I'll do the mod this weekend. Thanks for the excellent fix.

    drivetrain/clutch shutter! tranny mounts?

Stumbled on this thread, and I, too, have had this problem. Mine is #29. Exactly all that you described, and exactly all the same expletives expressed upon discovering the flimsy design. My solution was to weld in small rectangular pieces of steel tubing at all corners of the mount, as well as...

    weber install

Quite well. I have not had any problems. Idle is fat but that's a jet issue and I prefer a fat setting. I don't know why my regulators won't go below 3.5. I have hada the same Malpassi regs on a racing Mini and they had a pretty broad range. I was shooting for 3 PSI.

    weber install

The CAV regs I have on #29 are adjustable to 3.5 PSI, no lower. I've installed inline gauges on both sides before feeding the 48IDAs. Back out the acorn locknuts and turn the adjuster nut. They were originally set to 5 PSI to feed the Holley but the new plumbing for the Webers leaked at that...

    rear view camera set up

The same one I picked up at Pepboys for $120. So if it's still available, grab it! I works great on the CAV GT.

    JFK Ground contoller

JFK controllers are a hoot. I'm friendly with some of them as they usually train at Republic Airport on Long Island, my home field. Coming home from the west, one has to get clearance to overfly JFK or duck and trace the beach south of it below 500 ft. Everytime I'd check in, they would clear...
