    Do or Don't re-torque heads

Perhaps a limited amount of some sort of radiator stop leak would work in this instance, something like silver seal??? After a complete retorque however. I'm thinking that with the amount of expansion with both an aluminum head AND block that the traditional head gasket may lose some of the...

What Am I getting into now?

Dont throw stones. Stock 289, Tuftride the crank for increased surface hardness. Good rods, Boss 302's do nicely. 10:1 Compression or slightly more (10.5) Solid Flat tappet cam with 232/242 @ .050. Rpm to 7000 if needed, plenty of torque, add IDA's and look out: 15% increase in torque. This will...

What in the hell is wrong with my engine??

I like to install the gaskets with a little weather strip adhesive, attaching them to the heads. I then position them, align the ports and then just set the intake manifold in place for an hour or two. Then remove the manifold, use a small amount of "The Right Stuff" around the water ports (Use...

    replace oil pan gasket

Loyd I just helped a fellow eliminate pesky leaks in his Cobra that sports a Milodon pan with a 351 Windsor. He had been using 4 piece gaskets and silicone. Get a Felpro 1 piece gasket (Blue) that has the metal rib down both sides that prevents overtightening of the gasket. Use "The Right Stuff"...

You can also approach someone with a blasting cabinet, use either Walnut shells or glass beads on low pressure. Another product is the acid (blue) that is diluted and used at commercial Truck washes, it is used to clean the aluminum wheels and bare metal trailers. I got a quart of it and used it...

    LSx - Weber Intake Manifold

Kelly: The manifold you show looks very similar to a few made for 427's and accepted the GIANT 58mm Webers which were mounted front to back instead of across from each other. Much like a V12 Ferrari. Who is the manufacturer/vendor for the Aluminum stacks???

    World product heads

I've been using their iron Windsor JR heads on my 289 Cobra for several years wothout any issues. Short turn radius on the exhaust port is much better than any of the OEM inline valve Ford heads. Make good power.
