    Beauty and the Beast...

I don't know if Hill has seen this, so I'll answer on his behalf: the radiator is a custom C&R with a racing core, and very narrow end tanks to maximize the core area. I'm sure the folks at Agile Auto would be happy to provide more details.

    Aluminator 5.2 XS

I think H has a Ricardo in his car. However, the factory already has an adapter for that combo, as listed on their website here. I reckon that Superlite has done more engine-transaxle combos than anyone else. The list on that page is very broad.

Body Cup Holders - Keep or Remove?

Those moldings were originally designed for Corvette-style slam-latches. The current Aerocatches obviated the slam-latch model, as well as hiding the latch mechanism, and making assembly easier. The moldings remained since it wasn't worth modifying the molds just to take them out- especially...

Body Cup Holders - Keep or Remove?

The front ones, when opened up, allow access to the door hinge and its environs. I find that very useful. The rear ones probably just add rigidity. And a place to hold your drink when you are working on the engine. What other car has that feature? :)

Great to hear there is a resolution, Pete!

    LS7 engine variations

My car has a crate LS7 and a GM controller kit. It's never really run right, with a weird idle hanging problem -- it would hang at about 2000-2500 RPM on decel, then slowly lower itself to a normal idle of 800 in a minute or so. That made it hard to heel-and-toe and didn't make me look like the...

I guess we know which one is faster, though.

    Fling SLC Build Thread

You can't point to pics on your computer- or else we all wouldn't need a hosting service like Photobucket. Ron posted the method to post pics; that seems to work for most people.

Superlite SL-C dominates at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

Katech built the engine for the car. I don't know if it is LS3 or LS7-based.

Superlite SL-C dominates at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

The other "vintage" cars were modern ones like the Viper ACR, a 911 Cup (?) and various other big-bore, highly modified cars.

Superlite SL-C dominates at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

How fast is a 1:42.5 at Pitt Race full course? It's two seconds under the NASA Super Unlimited lap record held by a sports racer, and appears to be the fastest lap ever there in a closed wheel car. Just to put it in perspective.

Superlite SL-C dominates at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

Dan Raver piloted his newly-rebuilt SL-C to a convincing win last weekend at the PVGP at Pitt Race. Starting from the pole position, he set the fastest lap of the weekend (a blistering 1:42.5) on the way to winning the race on Sunday. Congrats to Dan, Raver Motorsports, and Agile Auto!

    Dual Fan Control

Assuming your car will have AC, you'll probably want to make sure you accommodate the AC request for fan(s) as well as engine requests. That's what I was talking about in my earlier post. :)

    Dual Fan Control

Is there a reason to abandon the stock fan control scheme? Most of the SLCs that are running LS engines are using some version of that. My car uses a common mod that ties both fan outputs (one from the GM controller and the other from the AC) to drive both fans when either output requests a...

Photobucket has broken the Internet- and GT40s.com

Pete, I'm guessing that if you have a paid plan, they are honoring the terms of it until renewal. When it expires, you are likely hosed like the rest of us. But maybe they are having a come-to-Jesus meeting right now and contemplating the mass exodus of customers that is surely happening. A...

Photobucket has broken the Internet- and GT40s.com

As many people know, Photobucket has changed their policy concerning "3rd party hosting" and is now demanding $400 a year in ransomware to make pictures appear in forums- ones that have been working for as long as 10 years in some cases. This makes many threads much less useful, where text...

    S2's Build Thread

I haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn recently, so that makes me no expert. But I doubt if it makes that much difference. I thought that .250 was too much, hence the spacers. But I probably would have just gone ahead with them without spacers if I had measured just 3/32. If your OCD gets...
