    Converting RHD SLC to LHD

hector do you have a measurement from bottom of spider to floor, when the spider is lifted? I actually considered this after seeing your post a few months ago. When I went to buy them none were in stock so I abandoned the idea. However, seeing it again I really need to do it.

    Converting RHD SLC to LHD

Hector I actually think if I had more space I would have had it done months ago! Well, at least driveable and all major systems in place. If anyone is reading this in the future, invest in a way to remove and replace the spider as a solo job. I can’t tel you how many tasks I’ve had to put off...

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

An adapter like this.... https://www.amazon.com/Engine-Adapter-Pressure-Sensor-551172/dp/B015NFNC10 Or a 1/8 NPT sensor...

Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

You want the O2 sensor in the second pic location, ideally it should read mixed gases from all 4 cylinders. As far as the oil pressure, an adapter should be fine. I’m not sure if you’re tracking the car, but somehow oil coolers have come to be a fad on the forums. Oil needs to get hot and if...

    Tinted Lexan Windows - Please?

I will be attempting to use some tinted lexan I found online to shape my own windows, well see how it goes. With enough heat you can get it to flex, then secure in corners.

I will be buying tinted poly soon in an effort to mold my own side windows, back window as well.

    Bob's EV SLC Build Log

He’s running two motor units in the rear. So each wheel will have its own motor. My understanding is he just needs to lock the diff in each motor unit separately, that way the other side of the output on the diff just doesn’t spin freely. Without locking the diffs his system doesn’t work.

    Converting RHD SLC to LHD

I have a list about a mile long of things to do, I bounce around a lot. Really considering getting some quick jacks because it is quite a pain raising this thing up and the frame does not like to flex at all. However I feel like it’s one of those tools that would make my life much much easier...

What were everyone's engine choices, crate or DIY?

Ya just make separate bypass harness for the injectors and should be pretty easy to pull out at anytime.

    G96 master cylinder size?

I ended up ordering the .7 since I can return the 5/8. Should be the perfect balance between disengagement and ease of push. We shall see.

    G96 master cylinder size?

Have not verified why the blockage occurred. I’m assuming junk in line. Either way the flow is much better. Debating on whether I should order the 7/10 from tilton. 3/4 is a lot of travel, 5/8 isn’t enough, 7/10 should be just right but not sure it is worth it.

    G96 master cylinder size?

Well I installed the 5/8th today. A few things. While installing (pain in the ass). I went to bleed the clutch again and noticed I was getting no fluid with a pressure bleeder. I tracked it down to something blocking my flex line to the slave. Swapped to a new line and things flowed smooth. The...

    Air Conditioning Effectiveness

I thought cam was able to get tint to stick to his windows? I’m in south Florida so I’m going to have to find some way to cool this car. Do you only have two vents on the dash? Do you think a 3rd would help?

    G96 master cylinder size?

It does depend on slave too, however right now I’m just using stock 996 slave. The master is easier for me to change than hunt down a compatible slave. If this doesn’t work that’s my next option. Changing to 1/4 line is the very last resort for me.

    G96 master cylinder size?

Did that provide a noticeable difference? I have a 5/8th on order.

What were everyone's engine choices, crate or DIY?

Said it before and I’ll say it again, junkyard LS. Does that mean one that’s been sitting out in the rain? No....an 80k mile, vehicle pull out, L92 can be had for $2500, $1.5k more for cam, intake and corvette accessories, all new. You can either use the stock harness and make it stand alone for...

    G96 master cylinder size?

3/16, same as brakes. Which I thought was standard as I believe factory is 3/16 as well.

    G96 master cylinder size?

Just curious was size master you guys are using with the G96 and standard Wilwood/tilton assembly? It’s been a long time since I’ve driven a manual and I’m sure since they were older trucks they were all mechanical linkage. My pedal feels like a long push through thick thick mud. Idk how else...

Kurt H (hoffkm) SL-C build thread

Kurt looking good! The carbon fiber isn’t so bad after the first few times. Just like you I have things under my dash, but from my experience so far the dash is really easy to take out, the only large items in the way would be the seats.

    Converting RHD SLC to LHD

Well I installed the flywheel and clutch earlier this week, car moves forward and backwards under its own power. Clutch feel super strange, really like a slow mush long feel. Today I was able to get the spider locked down, rear clam bolted up and working properly, still need to re-drill holes...
