    You're not a hot-rodder unless you own a Sawzall... JR's Build Thread

After 6 layers of fiberglass then a layer of resin mixed with microfiller was added for additional strength. After that I used 3M Platinum Plus filler to even out the contours.

    About to jump in

Hi Paul, sent you an email and you can give me a call if you'd like to discuss all the ins and outs of a SLC build. One of the exciting parts of building a SL-C is that there can be no fabrication or body work if you'd like or major stuff if you want it highly specialized.

How to get the windshield to fit???

The windshield isn't attached yet in this video or pictures, it is held on with double sided tape temporarily. Installing the windshield is a combination of shimming out the body between the roll bar and drawing the lower corners in gently.

To build my SL-C or alternative...

After building 11 SL-C's and 3 GTM's it would be nearly impossible to convince me to build a GTM. They are just so difficult and time consuming to build. Then unless you are Shane it still isn't right. Let me know if you'd like to discuss anything about the SL-C build.

    LS376-480 start problem

Swap out the MAF sensor and make sure it is oriented correctly. Find someone with a loaner engine computer that you can try. (something may be wrong with the start up parameters) Swap out the MAP sensor. Go back and check anything modified in the engine harnass.

    SLC Aftermarket Seat Option

They were custom made and altered quite a bit from their original form to fit. Once you get into custom work you know what that means. The Tillett seats still are the best fit and most comfortable from what I have seen.

    Pete B's Build Thread

ISIS had a bad batch of harnesses where the inverter was left out of the circuit. Everyone should check their harness to see if the little inverter is in there and then test the circuit if it is in there. It is supposed to be located about 6 inches back along the wire that is added to the master...
