Thanks, I was blown away at the throttle response and I loved the sound. I have a goal of driving it around the neighborhood by the end of summer. There is still a lot to do before I can make that happen, so hopefully I can meet that goal. Sean

Thanks Rob I did look at this. I have about 3/8” of clearance to the lid from the top posts. I plan to only use the side posts and leave the protective caps in place. Sean

I had a very productive weekend. I was able to get several systems wiring completed and tested. It was nice to crank it from the dash. Just a few more items to go for a startup.

I’m really curious how it’s going to sound as well. It doesn’t appear to be designed for use right after the headers. Mr Howard said they are pretty loud at anything above idle. I will definitely provide some feedback on them. Sean

If you find the alternator isnt what is causing the issue. Have you changed to a lower octane fuel or swapped to a hotter plug? Both can cause it to diesel a bit.

Thanks. I still need to mount the nose to make sure that upper radiator line clears both nostrils the way I have it, but it should be pretty close to working for them. Sean

I have been working on plumbing the last couple weeks. I found a setup I like for the thermostat housing. I was also able to run the lines for the heater core through the spinal column.

I am in the same boat with the brand new starter I have. Hopefully I can sell it for a decent price. I tested everything yesterday. The new starter works great. I turned it over long enough to build oil pressure. My goal is to start the engine in the car this summer. Sean
