Made my own air filters for less than $40 dollars.

Mark, I forgot to mention the shifter I’m using was made by Chris and made to fit perfectly in aluminum. It is 4 inches wide and modified to use aftermarket cables. I can send you a picture if you want.

Chris from Active Power modified and sent me a new transaxle shift lever. His modification lessened the reverse spring tension and that solved the issue I was having. The modified lever on the right (picture) worked and I now get reverse.

Worked on it today and now I have reverse. Thank you all.

Pete, thank you for the information. Did you have any issues with getting reverse? It seems the reverse gear has a heavy spring to overcome.

Can anyone suggest what shifter I can use on a GT40 with a Porsche 997 inverted transaxle? Thanks

Kennedy Engineering in California fabricates everything you need to mate a Ford engine to a Porsche transaxle. I am currently using their product and very satisfied.

Mark, when lifted they will droop. When you add the engine and all the other stuff it will sit right. I believe I have the same setup as yours but with blue springs.

Mark I asked Chris for QA1 coil overs with blue springs. I’m not sure what coil overs he supplies with his rollers. I believe he supplies QA1s.
