    Ford 302 Thermostat recommendation

Also suggest you test the stat with hot water and thermometer. A shocking number of new stats out of the box are not correct. Also pressure test the radiator cap. On Safir P1116 we had a cooling issue, had the rad checked, replaced a water pump and more. The culprit? A 13# cap that vented at 8#...

    J-3?

They didn't come from Ford. I don't recall the exact details, but they were acquired from someone who had purchased a batch of cars and parts from Ford. Recall that several team cars were sold on to private individuals when Ford stepped away from the GT program. Harry Heinel in Florida owned...

    J-3?

I don't want to tell you what price Brian Angliss offered either chassis to me! Of course, I didn't have that spare amount then, so two million is still just as far away now.....I'll dig out the photos and post them.

    J-3?

J11 was one of the two unnumbered "J" chassis owned by Brian Angliss at Autokraft. 11 and 12 were incomplete chassis as of 1984 when I viewed them at the old Brooklands Autokraft works. Both were completed and sold on with a vigorous argument about which chassis would be "J12".

GTs at "Cars on 5Th" Event in Naples, FL.

David, I have known Jeff for many years. He bunked in with Fran and me at the Kress Naples Hilton Resort. We sampled some of the best cheap (no such thing in Naples food) and I cooked for all at home. A good time was had by all!

GTs at "Cars on 5Th" Event in Naples, FL.

On February 8th the annual "Cars on 5th" event was held. 33 Ford GTs of various models were in attendance. From one of the ten 2005 prototype "mules" to #65 of the 67 2022 GT Mk IVs a wide range of GTs were in attendance. Sadly, no GT40s either original or reproduction were there. Had the...

    Inner tubes

The Borrani wire wheels of that period were not sealed for tubeless tires. In 1962 when Ford offered Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels on the Thunderbird (standard on the Sports Roadster) they had specially prepared Firestone tires for them. The normally "tubeless" tires had numerous micro holes punched...

    Jokes anyone? -

Several men are in the locker room at a golf club when a cellular phone on a bench starts ringing. One of the men activates the hands-free speaker function and begins talking. Everyone else in the room stops to listen. MAN: "Hello?" WOMAN: "Hi, honey, it's me. Are you at the club?" MAN: "Yes."...

Does anyone here have an EV?

As a former Caterham dealer (sold my dealership but still have some involvement) I think this is a smart and interesting take on an EV "Sports Car" https://caterhamcars.com/en/models/projectv From the performance goal to the design, I think this will work. Some very smart use of "off the shelf"...
