    P2334's A/C Drain

Thanks, Rick. I suspect the hose must be crimped or in a bind.

    P2334's A/C Drain

Coloradans (Coloradoans?) don't get to weigh in on this one. ;)

    P2334 Registered in TX

After a slight delay with an MSO issue, P2334 is officially titled and registered in TX as a 1965 Ford GT40. I followed the "Custom Vehicle" process from Txdmv.gov. It's three forms, inspection report, photos, certified weight, etc. Overall, pretty painless if you are prepared. One...

    P2334's A/C Drain

Gents, My newly serviced A/C works like a charm here in TX. But there's a problem. We took off the front clip last night to realign the front end and investigate the stiff throttle pedal. When I loosened and moved aside the A/C unit to access the pedal box, a good amount of water spilled...

    P2334 Breathes!

Yes, they should be very similar, Bob. Yes, mine is a 351w stroked to 427.

    P2334 Breathes!

Hello, Bob. I'm using a Quicktime bellhousing with my Roush. For the motor mounts, I am assuming you are referring to the mount between engine and chassis, on the sides. There is a big block Chevy mount available at Autozone here that works perfectly. I can get you the number if you need it...

How Do You Fix a Stiff Throttle Pedal?

Reviving an old thread, as I'm having similar issues with throttle pedal effort . . . Last night, my buddy and I isolated the components (pedal, pedal spring, carb linkage, carb linkage springs). The excessive effort I have been feeling is definitely the throttle cable. I have checked all...

    P2334 Passes TX Inspection Today

Kudos to Monkey Mug Performance in Houston for knowing about the TxDMV Street Rod registration process and making the inspection so smooth! On to registration and plates!

    Parking Brake Adjustment

I still have to pass inspection. After that - we'll see if I keep it.

    Parking Brake Adjustment

Interesting. I couldn't find them, but probably didn't realize what they were. There are now 3 adjustment points! That just adds to the mystique of getting it right. Tim

    Parking Brake Adjustment

This is a follow-up to the parking brake investigation. There are NO adjusters inside the cockpit. The adjustment is performed in two ways: 1) The cable connections to the Wilwood drums are adjustable. You have a few inches of travel there to play with. 2) Just as importantly, there are...

    SPF Seat Rivet Came Out

Great idea! And worth a try before removing the leather strip with all of the rivets attached!

    SPF Seat Rivet Came Out

Thanks, Julian. I have contacted my dealer as well.

    Hydraulic Release Bearing Problem

The entire setup came from Olthoff (Quaife transaxle, bellhousing, clutch/PP, upgraded shift linkage). I can locate the paperwork, if needed.

    Hydraulic Release Bearing Problem

Yes, I used the Quicktime housing and the McLeod clutch/PP. I followed the installation instructions carefully, measuring multiple times and using multiple people. We ended up using 5 spacers, I believe. A few trips around the block and a round-trip (25 miles) to get the car weighed. No...

    SPF Seat Rivet Came Out

One of my seat rivets came apart on the driver's side. One half of the rivet is trapped under the seat cover and the other is loose. If I remember correctly from the "How It's Made" television series, the part of the seat that is riveted is simply a wide strip of material, glued to the...

    Hydraulic Release Bearing Problem

Mike, I wish I could have envisioned that. If/when I have the transaxle out again, I'll do something similar. Thanks for sharing!

    Hydraulic Release Bearing Problem

Update: Removed the transaxle and release bearing. The seals looked ok, but I rebuilt the bearing with a QM seal kit - 5 mins work. Reinstalled bearing and transaxle. Bled bearing - no issues or leaks. Adjusted clutch pedal stop longer by several revs, then tested for clutch engagement...
