    Supplier feedback

I recently purchased some parts from a USA supplier through their Ebay shop. The parts arrived eventually after nearly 3 weeks in transit, most of which was un-traceable due to a poor tracking website. Normally a week to 10 days is the norm. I also contacted them during that time to chase...

Welcome Bob, as Nick says join the email group, it has helped me no end, and still does. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid question! You are brave, i don't think i have the b***s to start from scratch. Good luck and keep the progress updates coming. Andrew PS i had to modify the...

Engine bay done, and that is pretty much it for the panels. A few holes to go in and some tidying up but apart from a couple of small trim panels here and there, all the big complicated ones are now done. The rear bulkhead panels where rivets on after these pictures were taken, but had been...

    Andrew's GT Forte build.

Had a day off yesterday and the engine arrival inspired me to crack on with the engine bay panels. Still need to cut some holes for services and suspensions arms but that should not be too difficult once I work out where they are to go. Hope to get the rest finished today. Andrew

Fully landed price Nick, including the VAT (20%), Duty (4%), Customs Fees (£37), Handling Fee (£16) and a van to go and pick it up from customs (£39) was £3,450. I had some funds sitting in the USA so thats why i did it that way. Andrew

Hi Paul. It s a blueprint engine. Ford 306 Base BP3060CT | BluePrint Engines I did look at building one myself, but by the time i had got all the parts selected and ordered and then assembled the price was not a kick in the rear of the fully assembled and tested Blueprint engine. It may get...

    Swirl Pots

The only issue is see is that a valve like that probably requires more power to keep it open. but i did look at them. Andrew

    Swirl Pots

Agree Ian, the plastic bit just looked a bit cheap and tacky. I am sure it works but just did not like the look of it. If they did it in steel with nice AN-6 fittings i would not hesitate. Take your point about keeping the valve energised, need to work out what effect that will have. Andrew

    Swirl Pots

How about a bespoke swirl pot with two LP inlets, one HP outlet, one HP return, and two tank returns with solenoid valves in series with LP pumps. Switching one either pump will open the outlet back to its own tank. Or put both on and vent back to both tanks if the flow will split evenly. Andrew

Been slacking a bit but a new part arrived today to give me more motivation. 385 horses at the moment but an ITB EFI system following it in a few days. Got a few mods to do but a good base. Andrew

Yes, very nice looking units Ian, but not cheap. Being this side of the pond maens another 25% on top of that price for me and shipping. andrew

    Swirl Pots

Thanks guys some good ideas, and as always a mixture of solutions. Ian, the valve looks interesting, going to look closer at that. Thanks. Blueovalz, i was thinking of going that way myself with non return valves, but i can see the advantage of the valve above being able to divert the excess...
