    Burning Volts.

"There's just one problem: That comment was made more than two years ago, well before journalists had driven the production car, any actual Volts had gone on sale, and any cars had been purchased by real live--and very eager--human beings." Quote from the article attached. What would you...

    Burning Volts.

Someone argued that the Feds didn't follow proper procedures which caused the fire. Correct, the Feds did not discharge the Battery after the Crash, which is equivilent to the Feds not draining a Crash vehicle's fuel tank after a test crash (which is standard procedure). Would the Media be all...

    Burning Volts.

LI batteries are very finicky , too high or too low in charge , and they get hot / unstable and catch fire . In the radio control world , we charge them in fire proof bags . One of my friends Blazer burned to the ground when his r/c cars battery became unstable while being charged in the back of...

    Lotus Transaxle

My personal favorite is a Lotus with a early 90's Taurus Yamaha SHO V6 engine. There are many examples running around (google Lotus SHO Engine). Great looking engine with the bundle of Snakes intake, and you could design a 180 degree exhaust and exit out of the rear like a GT40. Also, 325...

any thoughts on a 351 Windsor engine?

Why not convert to E85 and not change the base engine at all? E85 has a Octane rating higher than Premium gas, and is relatively cheap (compared to Racing and Av-Gas). Different companies sell conversion kits and carburetors. Just do a Google search. Darnel.

Differences in measurements on the rear?

Unlike cars of today where only half of the car is designed in Clay, then digitized and the other half is mirror imaged by the CAD operator, cars from the Sixties were made from a full size Clay where the side was made in Clay and the other half was duplicated in Clay, sometimes by a different...

    ZFQ Transaxle failure

Lengthening every other boss so the stresses are no longer in a single plane in order to spread the load. Also, bosses should be raised and then spotfaced, not spotfaced into side of housing. This created stress risers at each boss where the cracks propagated from. Darnel
