    ZF Parts Source

Tim: That would be great! Unfortunately, I don't have a part number. I have attempted to find, on line, a parts listing or diagram, but without success. The gasket is the one on the shifter shaft that goes from the small out outer box into the side of the transaxle. Jim

    ZF Parts Source

Folks: Does anyone have a source for ZF parts other than RBT? They don't respond to e-mails or answer their phone. Jim Holden

Does everyone use the bladder fuel tanks?

In my ERA, we have a switch set up so that the fuel drawn from one tank will return to that tank. The fuel tanks in an ERA are full racing spec. fuel cells. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be in anything that has side fuel tanks that are only a fraction of an inch away from some "event". Jim

    No SL C Components

Crash: I wish I had the time and ability to do what you have done. It almost sounds as though you have become a "manufacturer." Having neither the time, nor the ability to engineer a project from scratch such as you have done, I rely on the engineer at ERA (having now produced somewhere...

    No SL C Components

Crash: I think you need to reread my post. Just so I am clear, I have built each one of my (now 5) ERAs. In each instance I got the money that I paid out, back and more. I did not say that I got the value of my time back... that I wrote off as therapy, but in each instance I did get my...

    No SL C Components

I beg to differ. I have been participating in this hobby for almost thirty years and have over that period of time bought and sold a number of ERAs. (And I will gladly admit that my experience is largely limited to that company's products.) Certainly, once someone buys a car they're welcome...

    No SL C Components

RCR is not alone in the industry in not being willing to sell "parts." Some years ago I was at an auto show in Englishtown NJ and saw a replica Cobra that the (apparent) owner indicated was an "early" ERA. Having built several of them, I new that I was not looking at an ERA, early or...

    Weber Carbs for fuel injection?

I spoke with the Dynatek folks out at Carlisle. They have managed to hide the injectors inside the throttle bodies so that you really have to look at them closely to determine that they are not, in fact, Weber carbs. Jim

    ERA gt

With respect to the brackets for mounting the AC and alternator on the Boss block/Cleveland Head motor, Ted at ERA fabricated up the necessary parts. ERA is able to do almost anything (within reason)... it's all just a matter of how thick your check book is. J8im PS: A picture of...

    ERA gt

To respond to a question raised earlier in this thread, my first ERAGT was powered by a Boss 302/Cleveland head motor. I was able to locate a Weber intake and the setup required different headers, of course. Modifications were also required to mount the alternator and AC compressor. Other...

    Safir Spares Bellhousing

I recently purchased the bellhousing - twin disc clutch and fly wheel setup from Safir Spares in Ohio for installation in my ERAGT2077. Bob Wood could not have been more helpful. The ERA chassis does not have provision for the lower bellhousing support bolts, but Teddy (he can weld upside down...

    J6 @ Pbscw

Jim: Smart man. I've been married for 33 years. My wife's been great about the motormania, but then I don't question her clothing budget either. After all the clothes money is far better spent on her. I could spend a fortune and it wouldn't help me look any better... Jim
