    This Site

As this involves club funds it should be voted for by the GT40 Enthusiasts Club membership. I totally disagree with this suggestion as I would not wish for the Club to sponsor a website that has less and less GT40 content. I now find that there is a smaller content of the website that I...

    KVA Project

It's really nice to see an abandoned project eventually get finished (we all know they are never finished). The IVA is a real tester for anyone but it goes to show that it IS achievable. Well done Tony. Brian.

    GTD Engine/gearbox Lowering

Dave, This is what I did on Chris Coles's chassis to lower his gearbox. His gearbox was inverted so it may not work on yours but it might give you an idea. Brian.

    GTD Engine/gearbox Lowering

Hi Dave, You can take out the engine cradle and make new mounts that bolt to the chassis rails either side. That gets rid of the rail under the sump, then you can lower the front of the engine to the height you require. You should also be able to replace the gearbox rubber mounts for ones half...

    Insurance companies

I am with Peter James Insurance who are underwritten by KGM. I have had reason to use them and had no problems apart from being a bit slow. I had my GT40 partly resprayed through them and was not happy with the colour match. After inspection they agreed to respray the whole car. Mind you...

The GT40 Enthusiasts Club is having a display of eight cars at the Classic & Sports Car Club race meeting at Thruxton this Sunday. We will be behind the spectator banking opposite the pits. It should be a great meeting and the club will be having a couple of parade laps during the lunch break. I...

hello, are there any builders local to me?

Craig, You should have been at the NEC Classic Car Show this weekend just gone where the GT40 Enthusiasts Club had a stand. The Club have meetings at The Toby Carvery CV7 7HL on the first Tuesday of the month. You should be able to get all the answers you need from car owners and builders. Brian.

    Classic Le Mans 2016

Unfortunately I have had to cancel my plans for Classic Le Mans this year. My wife, Pam received facial and arm injuries at a local airfield 'fly in' on June 5th. We were getting in the '40 to go home when a Tiger Moth lost control on take off and hit the barrier behind the car. I saw it...

    Brake bais bar lock off

That won't satisfy the IVA examiners, It has to be 'permanently' locked. I have just helped someone through the test. We adjusted the brakes so that the fronts came on just before the backs by jacking all four wheels off the ground and turning the wheels by hand with the brake partly on. We...
