A Little Something for the Frank Bullitt in all of us

A little tidbit. According to ponysite.de, the exhaust note for the Mustang was dubbed (duh). No FE big block sounds that racy (unless it has crossovers), and the actual exhaust that was dubbed in was from a GT40 that Steve McQueen tore around a track.

    Cammer engine?

    Here's a comparison between the dimensions of the 302, the 351W, and the 4.6 SOHC and DOHC. And for giggles the 460.I got this from the Ford Racing Performance Parts website. 302W W=18 3/4" H=20 1/4" L=27 1/2" 351W W=21" H=23 1/4" L=27 1/2" 4.6 16V W=25 5/8" H=26" L=28" 4.6 32V...

A Little Something for the Frank Bullitt in all of us

I found this while looking for some stuff for my 66 Mustang Fastback and thought it was hilarious. It's a spoof of the famous chase scene in "Bullitt". Enjoy BoXitt

    Cammer engine?

That probably has more to do with series regs than anything else. Remember, NASCAR still uses carbs even though they haven't been used in production cars for almost 2 decades.

    performance information

[ QUOTE ] I am not an engine builder. However the comments I have heard from some are that a highly tuned small block in a light car will out accelerate the bigger engine from a rolling start because the lighter weight components of the small block will wind up faster. Kind of like the light...

    Cammer engine?

Count me in as a fan of the Mod Motor. Frankly, this reminds me of the whole carb vs. EFI arguments when Ford changed the 5.0L from carb to EFI in 1986. When it time comes when I purchase a GT40, I've already decided that it will have a 4.6 DOHC in it. Thanks to Premier, that will be...

    Ford blue color for block

Here's my $0.02 worth. I have a 1966 Mustang that had a factory 289 (later pulled for a 302 which will be replaced by a 351) which was painted black. It confused me because up to that point, I thought all Ford engines were blue, and every Mustang engine or Hi-Po Ford engine I had seen was...

    Ford GT at my dealership

Hey folks, Last week I started my new career at Townsend Ford. Townsend, MA is a small town really close to the middle of nowhere, but it has built up a reputation for excellent customer service and satisfaction. It culiminated with it winning the 2003 President's Award, the highest award that...

Suggestions: Atheistic Approach for Front Licence Plate

It's actually a good question...here in Massachusetts we're required by law to have front plates as well (though only the rear plates need to have the registration year), and was wondering if a loophole existed. Another question along the same lines. What about illumination. Many states (if...

[ QUOTE ] Just in case you think that you can go to the nearest industrial park and find one of these machines, there are only 15 in the world and this is the only one in the southern hemisphere. For those interested please contact me in the normal manner. Best wishes, Robert [/ QUOTE ]...

    Hello hello

Hey folks. How's everybody doing? I just wanted to introduce myself to everybody. A little backstory first. I inherited my love of GT40's from my father. I'm only 31 years old, so I'm a little young to have seen these beautiful machines in person or know about their exploits. However, my...
