    better off getting them painted using solid 2k as the paint from cans will chip as it is brittle and thin. better bet is to go to your local paint supplier and get them to mix you up a can of the colour of your choice. cost is around £13 a can, but much better than off the shelf cans.

    i went for the mk2 as it was cheap......and i'm glad it was as the shape has really grown on me! i also think the mk2 lends itself to better paint options. the curves if the rear intakes make any pearl/candy finish look superb. yet i will be painting mine in something far less trick. last...

    also check weather the halfords sockets are 6 or 12 sided, i find the 6 sided much better, but we restore old cars with rusty nuts! hopefully, no rusty nuts on the gt40's check the prices of the mac special offers also, i've had some good 3/8 socket sets free with stuff! in fact, what ever...

    this has got intresting to the lo cost builder again. i liked the idea of using the mx-5 set up in my cortina as the sub frames mount easily, but what is the track of the rx-8? i think it could be handy for a scratch build kit of any type with a similar track? hmmmm.....
