    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Agreed, much needed luck! At the same time our dog couldn't use back legs, so been taking care of him thru this whole time thru this. While evacuated, finally found a way to make him take medicine, few days after we got back home he was walking again (although wobbly). Was easy to pick up...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

I have zero trees on my 2 acres, although did end up with a kumquat tree that jumped the fence. Always caught crap for not having trees or planting trees... SO thankful I didn't have any, they saved my roof for sure. My neighbors on both sides, got hit very hard. Craziest part of all of this...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Well, the SLC made it through a major hurricane intact. I moved it from the shop to the garage for extra security from damage.....and possibly random people. Went ahead and put it half way up on the QuickJacks to be safe with talk of storm surge although I wasn't too concerned about it. Some...

    CamT's build thread

I learned about that tool when I got my Audi, never crossed my mind to see if they had a longer female longer version for SLC. This tool sounds like gold!

Those QJ mounting plates are great, didn't know they exist and my QJs stay under my benches which isn't very clean. Know what I need to order soon. Jealous of an AC garage! Ours are similar built in louisiana, just days it's 90 would be a blessing. Yesterday was an actual 100, not including...

    Mason’s Build: Superlite SLC

Thanks for comparing them! Totally agree, real body looks much more attractive. Something about those headlight and signal "slots" doesn't flow as well.

Kurt H (hoffkm) SL-C build thread

Good deal, just making sure! I should have clarified, mine were also TIG welded on 2 spots and that's what failed.

Reinforce the actual metal brace for the tail. My nuts were spot welded and when tail was open a spot weld snapped which caused rest to do the same and dropped the freshly painted tail... on it's face.

    Anti-Lock Breaks System

I personally would consider ABS or booster if possible. The manual brakes don't inspire confidence when you're use to modern brakes, no doubt takes some getting use to. I haven't had to stand on mine fully yet, but been kicking around the idea of CTS-V2 front calipers since they'd bolt up. Not...

    S2's Build Thread

I love the renderings, wish I could 5% of that. Brian, I had a 3D model I paid for (can't recall website). I'd be glad to share it with you or anyone here, send me a PM with email and I'll get it to you. Scott, those carbon headlight buckets looks great. Something I always wondered how it'd...

    Graz Starter

When to go slow down video so could grab I took HD video and slowed it down in editing. Not scope good but hopefully okay

For what it's worth I measured my cranking amps at the starter with full load, was 88A for my LS3

    Mounting the Superlite emblems

I'm still running forgestar caps, but plans to get something laser etched on aluminum to put over (or replace) Forgestar caps. Those 3D printed caps are pretty slick, kinda makes me want make some to get resin printed.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Still need to figure out noise in front end, keep switching gears on projects in the shop and need to focus on getting noise fixed on SLC so can drive it. I submitted for a new plate for the SLC, assuming it gets accepted, I'll hopefully have it by the end of the year. Not really disappointed...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

All that sanding and sweating just so I can see a little carbon fiber through my tail grills.

Well, you have a point. Always down for some criticism, otherwise I'll never improve.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

And started skinning the exhaust shields I cut out a while back in 2x2 carbon. I've skinned stuff 2x so far with good luck so think I got a little cocky and rushed when putting the fiber on the metal and didn't consider how big of a contour the 90 on edges is. Not happy with it, he sides are...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Added some Car Chemistry baffles in my pipes, mainly in an attempt to reduce the drone of driving a SLC without drop gears. Changed whole sound of it and I'm digging it so far, video doesn't do it justice and sounds louder in video than in person. Haven't driven it yet, but just sitting it in...

"extra unlisted options" (That you didn't know existed :)

Nothing really major, but here's some "upgrades" to the stuff that comes with the kit. - Can upgrade HVAC knobs to aluminum ones as an upgrade. - Screens are easier to install now, found a 7" low profile android headunit that's ~1.5" deep - Upgrade Hella low and high beam headlights to JW...
