    Snap Vent Placement...

I have mine in position A, maybe a little more rearwards but close. Exact same type of vent. Just position them to avoid blocking your mirrors. They work really well in this area.

    UN1 021 : Ready to run with a 427SBC?

From what I remember any chevy 350 engine running a renault transaxle, if pushed hard, had gearbox issues whereas ford 302s did not get the same issues. If not going to push it hard then chevy power was ok. That was with the 350 chevy. If you go for a bigger chevy than the 350 all i can...

New Superformance darting L or R at only 40mph.

Suspension aligment is my gut reaction to those symptoms. Also don't forget to check your rear wheel toe as that can have weird effects if not set correctly. Often overlooked.

    Need Help Identify GT40

ah yes that mini  11 Mk2s by the factory with 2 mk1s being later converted to mk2s by customers. And 10 Lola T70s. 319 mk1s. 6 chassis numbers ordered but then cancelled. In the Mk1/2s all bar 9 had ford 302s. Allegedly!;)

    Need Help Identify GT40

24890 is the orighinal GT Developments (GTD) chassis number. The chassis was originally made in house in 1990. Initially built without a customer in mind it was sold to its first owner as a MK1 but later had a MK2 body conversion. Initially specified to take a Ford 302 and a Renault...

    Gearbox HEWLAND

I only ever saw two hewlands fitted to GTDs. Can't remember what they were (DG600 for the late Tony Marsh's twin turbo car perhaps?) but both required custom chassis work.

    Gt40 - GTD Chassis Number

It was not completely uncommon for customers to put their own chassis numbers onto a car. Look for the chassis stamped one. Thats the one that matters. Other items look GTD but need more chassis pictures to be certain.

    Gt40 - GTD Chassis Number

HI Not a chassis number matching any record I have, sorry. GTD chassis numbers in 1989 were five digit and ran between 13989 and 19889. GTD stamped their chassis numbers directly into the chassis on the cross member where the pedal box mounts, the forward cross member not the one nearer your...

    Hello Question Type of GT40

engine numbers and clutch numbers are fairly meaningless as the customer fit what they want and these items are rarely kit manufacturer supplied.

    AKSPORTSCARS #17

Thats not good. I am looking to order a ZFQ soon and was going to go for the 3.75 option. Maybe I will go collect mine if that was your story! Was there any particular reason you chose the 3.5 drive ratio? I was going 3.75 as more punch out of corners and from standing starts. Both ratio...

RBT (ZF), Quaife updates and availability

From my enquiries there is a delivery lead time of about 3 months. The ZFQ is rated for up to 500bhp. From those in the UK i have spoken to who have used on track say they work just fine if you pay attention to the power rating.

ZFQ final drive ratio, which ratio is most useful/popular?

16 years ago? Dang, we are getting old! Warren, is that from personal experience? Personally I have not heard of that concern adn considering Quaife are race gearbox manufacturers in the main, it would be a bad look for them if so. If you have a ZFQ, can you advise what final drive ratio you...

    Hello Question Type of GT40

looking at the condition of the odd chassis bits, it seems these could be customer modifications. Rear gearbox mounts look different too.
