I never thought of 3D printing coil covers, that's awesome! Those came out great, sort of wished I'd thought of it before getting the C6 FRCs. Icing on the cake is skinning them in carbon, I may have to borrow this idea from you instead of smoothing painting my C6 FRCs body color.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

While driving the kid around, decided to take a quick break and peel one of the wheels finally. Came off in one piece, the silver ones not quite as much but still easy. This started the whole process of removing and cleaning all wheels. Soaked with GooGone one time and pressure washed the...

It's the Superlite logo, a buddy made it for me

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Had to Google them to see, yikes they aren't cheap for sure.......but man, they look awesome! I considered relocating the coil packs or Edelbrock coil covers to clean up my engine bay, but FRCs are hard to beat. Not sure when I'll get around to smoothing, filling and painting mine but it'll be...

That's actually exactly the logo I've been thinking about too since there's really not Superlite logo on the car. While a decal would be very simple to do, I may take the time to draw it in 3D and get it printed to add a little more depth to things.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

All windows are successfully tinted and drying, should be in route to me soon. Wife got me a set of C6 fuel rail coves for the car for Christmas, looking forward to fitting them on the car. I plan to sand smooth, fill in the embossed logos and paint body color. Haven't decided what to...

Welcome! Mine is due in Monday and plan to test them out, should be just what I needed.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Since I'm already in middle of wiring the new signals, the 6000K color temp of the current LED boards is already bugging me. Don't know why, just looks tacky to me and I really have no reason to do it since I rarely drive at night. Ordered the 1156 (2-wire) all amber boards and picked up this...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Several years ago I read it was the same stuff, even looks it, but zero experience with it dissolver. The Xylene or Naptha may be equally as goods to reliquidfy the stuff. Think once I get the big parts off, pressure washer can get in between the spokes without having to rub a blister on my...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

No pics, but also swapped in some Chinese 5000K LED high beam bulbs, wanted the low and high beam color temps to match. The parking lights are still ~6000K and won't match, but will keep an eye open for some 1157 Harley Davidson full amber LED signal boards that look like the current ones...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Popped off the SLC emblem since I mounted it too high so wanted to see how this one looked in that spot, still prefer the SLC letters. Had a chance and wired up one of my new "custom" signals and added in a Morimoto Fade-In driver, nice little detail for $2.50 and was already wiring it. Still...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

There's plenty of coats, just with all the individual spokes it won't be fun getting between the spokes. Still worth the effort, beats having the wheels bronze past 6 months. :)

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

I did put the stuff on that makes it peel off the tires easier. I didn't clean or prep the silver dip when I sprayed them green, just quickly wiped it down and went to town spraying. Didn't really care about the quality since it was just for fun. I did peel a center cap just to see how easy...

I'm kind of digging the look. Don't know if I could do it permanently, but is cool. The orange and green doesn't clash as much as I expected. Uploaded a quick video of silver vs green

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Fixing to peel the silver dip off the wheels to get them powdercoated a more normal color. I had a few cans of lime green dip sitting on the shelf and the idea to see how it looks on the SLC wheels became too much to resist....

Well..... tinting didn't go as hoped. They were not able to get the pre-tint (their term) to contour enough to cover the window, just doesn't have much stretch in it. He was able to test and is confident he could do it with only tint. I was timid about using just tint on the Lexan, but have...

Yes it will, but everything you get will make for a better SLC! I think it'd look cool to see a FAST intake through the rear window instead of a stock one.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Had to print a spacer out to put between the LED board and lens so it could distribute the parking light ring. Ignore the dirt and finger prints on the lens, just a test fit. Seems I'm trying to see how many components I have to make a stupid turn signal, lol. In my defense while my wife is...

Good to know and sounds pretty similar to mine. Sometimes when I'd come to a stop with AC on the RPMs will start jumping around and if I don't blip the throttle it'll continue to do it until it finally dies. Last week when I was driving around, weather was MUCH cooler and didn't need the AC 24/7...
