Urgent - Anyone know where David Morton is?

Great cellar photos Keith. For a minute there I imagined I was looking into the bilge of your boat, and thought that's very deep.

    Power steering electrically assited

Brian, yes, that's the web site for the EZ steering I was talking about. In Sydney here, Cummins Classic Cars are agents. I believe Iain (Straight Eight Racing, on this site) fitted power steering (not EZ) to his racing RF40, so he may have comments on alternatives he found and how successful...

    New from South Carolina.

Stick to your plans and your dreams Bill, and you'll get there faster than you thought. A young Russian girl at work (Engineer), when I comment on her never slowing down, says "Life is a schedule one must follow, otherwise nothing gets done".

    New from South Carolina.

Your statement "makes my wife go insane..." shows that you are getting the idea of what a car obsession can do to your family life. Don't forget to buy her a new washing machine and step out of the garage to say Hi on her birthday. Later on, you'll be re-working the kitchen to atone for your sins.

    Power steering electrically assited

I thought it was interesting, Mick. The US 40 owners, and many others, seem to be obsessed with accuracy - instruments, grommetted seats, rear vision mirrors, RH gear change, etc., so may not like power steering. The RF40 is fairly accurate too, of course, but cars like the DRB (such as old Pete...

Opinions on the most beautiful cars of all time

We go through these lists regularly, and stunning cars regularly appear. Sadly, the Goggomobil Dart never seems to make the list.

Urgent - Anyone know where David Morton is?

Keith, you should be grateful that David is getting the feel of your boat (eg.how much cheese and wine it can store), such that he can pilot you about. Full steam ahead, me hearties.

Urgent - Anyone know where David Morton is?

This is quite disturbing Keith, although I'm confident all will be well in the end. A relative of mine in Perth, Bob Trotter (Royal Australian Navy, retired), was heavily involved in the finding of HMS Sydney recently. I was emailing him just tonight, but methinks Rum Runner has not made it to...

Fantastic. Living the dream, before it's too late.

    Mysterious roof dents on Murcielagos

Ah Keith, while slightly peripheral to the subject, your informative post has inspired me to apply for a Government Grant from Julia to research the impact of nipples on Lamborghini roofs. Should keep me busy for a while; don't call, I'll get back to you.

    Mysterious roof dents on Murcielagos

It's getting hard (no pun intended) to distinguish this thread from the Dilemma one.

Mike, I love the colour of your car. Don't you dare put dayglo on it.

    How fast?

For an average car (not a GT40 type of car), with average drag coefficient, then assuming the car has suitable gearing the rule of thumb for the top speed used to be 57 times the cube root of the brake HP over the frontal area. (Imperial units of sq. ft. and hp). Of course, with exotic cars and...

Jim, I do agree with your point. The provenance and history needs to be preserved.

Chassis 1032 Restored and Back Home

Much as I love the car, that has got to be the crappiest colour scheme I've ever seen, and spoils all the good work for me. Sorry, but I'd say take it away and repaint.

restrictions to tech info.. whats with that one

Nice adaptation, Lawrence. BTW, the front arms don't appear to be angled for anti-dive braking geometry, if I'm observing correctly.
