    MK3

While I love the usual racing front end, the Mk III has a lovely swooping touch of Lola or P*****e which is quite different and beautiful. Car is looking good, Boetty.

    Wallet Pictures

Who out there carries photos in their wallet of their pride and joy (the GT40, not the wife)? I'm curious.

I like those Monac's too, Fran. But hey, 40th BD? I thought you were just a young guy.

Gt40p, you choose the price!! - *SOLD*

Re: Gt40p, you choose the price!! For practicality, black is an irrational colour. But anyone who is rational would not be driving a GT40 would they?

    Which watch do you wear?

As a day to day watch (not in dress watch condition) I wear a very old Tag Heuer Professional that has proved very tough (chopping firewood, etc.).

    Big big ups for eddie!

Absolutely. A role model with grit and determination. These are the people who should receive awards and titles, not the poncy film stars, billionaire philanthropists, and overpaid sports people.

How fast a GT can go?

Australia has become a nanny country, where the authorities want to protect everyone, so all fun activities are controlled. Many people think your balls will drop off if you go over 110 km/hr.

    Here to learn, want one

Hi Bob, and welcome. Sounds like you are ready for the totally different feel of a GT40.

How fast a GT can go?

I note that Iain Pretty in RF117 has done 179 mph in racing, but this car is highly modified in every detail to a modern specification, has serious aerodynamic aids, serious power, and enough safety cage to make it difficult to enter. Your typical GT40 replica isn't on the same page.

    Another UK government balls up.

Yep, we got some F111's to absorb huge dollops of our defence budget. Mind you, they were more use than the submarines we commissioned.

Michelle honey , were gonna have to help push....

Just saw this in the news while having my dinner, and we both (wifey and me) had a good laugh also.

    A Riviera scratchbuilt GT40

Many DRB's have been built with the bulkhead roll bar on the engine side of the bulkhead, braced back onto the chassis near the top of the coil-over mounts.
