Yes Ron I will be using the ZF. I was looking to try and get period correct where I could. Very fortunately and thankfully I'm currently in the postion to do so. However it goes without saying that I still try and get the absolute best ,very BEST deal possible on purchasing anything.

Ron it's my understanding that the Audi can't stand up to higher torque and loads of the bigger engines. ( not trying to start an argument just what I've been told). Also the ZF is period correct. So I guess it depends on what one is looking for and the amount of $ one can and afford to spend.

Gary I can tell you that it was ordered just before June 1 and the deposit payment was made on June 2 by credit card. I guess it's now a race as to who gets his first. hehe

Steve I posed the question about the vacuum set up with the shop today. Boy were they taken aback. I've forwarded your link and post and they will look into that set up. I will let you know the final result. Once again thanks for the heads up.

Hi guys the car is pretty much assembled now. Waiting for the tranny from RBT to arrive. The engine was deliverd to the shop today. Monday will start the engine work to hook up the ac and weber carbs, flywheel as well as the clutch and realted parts.
